*not so quiet peanut gallery* $750!

Lifetime earnings: $1,896,732
Season 18 cash earnings: $629,243
Season 19 cash earnings: $490,110

...............................

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Wait a second: I thought those green sections did not exist until 1978, so you're at least three years too early. Also, back in '75, as long as you kept hitting the dollar, you would win $1,000 (in both regular and bonus spins). But I digress; the show must go on.

I'm doing current rules with classic style. For 1976, I'll try that out.

I just don’t think this is a cheap prize...

FOURTEEN FIFTY-FIVE *implied yelling*

I feel like yelling, too, but I won't tell why until after I reveal the price.

$1,455...

Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

MY THROAT'S GONNA FEEL LIKE SANDPAPER WHEN WE FINISH TAPING!

Gimme that cue card, I just want the people to see what that last bid was.

*ding*

I won't do the same with the actual retail price, though. It's $1,999.

Which means GameShowFan9001 gets to come up on stage!

*bell sequence*

Right this way. That's just fine. Now, what I was going to say was we made history: PayingTheRent made our ever first four-digit bid on a full-hour show! I didn't think it would happen even with four items up for bids.

I want two cameras on two things: one on your reaction and the other on this!

George: A new car!

A brand new Toyota Yaris LE: a functional and fun to run sedan with everything you need to drive in style. It comes with standard features including a 1.5-Liter four-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic transmission, pre-collission detector, a seven-inch touch-screen multimedia system and push-button ignition.

Me: We couldn't give away that Range Rover, but maybe you can win that Yaris, GameShowFan9001. Here's how...

We have nine pairs of numbers on the Money Game board. One has the first two digits, another has the last two digits and the rest have dollar signs. I'll give you as many chances as necessary to complete the car, but if you find four dollar signs, you only win the total in dollars. I'll help you out by plucking this card hiding the middle number...

*ding*

It's one. With that in mind, what's your first choice, GameShowFan9001?

Not quite sure that image is a sedan, but okay...

I'm going to start off with 35, 65, and 90 for the last two numbers.

All right, then. I'll go in the order you gave me. The front of the car can wait, it seems. 35 is your first pick, and behind that you have...

*ding*

$35 in cash. I'll put that over here on the top left...

65 is up next. Do we see either half of the car?

*ding*

No, just more money.

Neither side of the car just yet but you have picked up a C-note. Let's see your luck will change with 90. I'll place my hand here and lift...

*bell sequence*

There's the back half of the car!

They won't have these on Wheel of Fortune for another three decades, but now you need to find the other half. Six numbers to choose from.
