And you're going to take a little Vegas route to getting that car. You'll be playing the Card Game.



First, I want you to draw from this special deck. It will determine how close you must come to the actual retail price of that Forester without going over.

Woohoo! Somehow I managed to block the old wood-paneled Card Game set from my memory, I hope the deck has 2020 values and not 1976 ones :-D

$2,000. You must come within $2,000 of the actual retail price of that car without going over. We'll speed things up by giving you a base bid of $15,000.

And you'll add to your bid with these fifty-two playing cards. Deuces through nines we'll multiply by $100 before adding to your bid. Tens and face cards add $1,000. If you draw an Ace, it's wild. You must specify if you want an amount added to your bid or if you want to make your bid a certain amount should one turn up. I'll spread these across the table and ask you to pick your first card.

(To draw a card, please pick a number from 1-52.)

Any suggestions from the audience?

Not sure on the price, so I’ll keep drawing until I get either an ace or whatever card puts me over $20,000, and then decide at that point. Still not sure where I want to stop, so some guidance from the audience would be nice!

*from the audience* I'd probably stop at the first card that put me over $22,000, for a range of $22,x00-$24,x00. But that's based on my intuition, not research I've ever done on Subarus.

BTW, I hope those card picks put you in prime position to win this game!
