Is TVPMM also missing the original version of the 1976 Come on Down cue? Which I think is the best version of it.

Listen closely to those extra flutes in the intro.

They don't unfortunately have it. Fremantle does however, and it is used in several of the foreign versions of the show.

I don't see what's stopping them from posting the debut playing, by itself, to the YouTube channel.

I don't think anything's stopping them for posting it.  It's just speculation that I don't think they'd air the premiere playing given the fact that they might not have a ready-to-air episode featuring the debut available.  Maybe they do; unless I'm mistaken, all of their social media video content comes from episodes that are currently in the rotation.  I'm not sure they "modernized" or formatted the episode in question, and I just don't see the need to do so if it's for the sole reason of airing the first One Away playing

According to TV Guide in the Roku Channel, looks like "fresh" eps on The Barker Era channel (and presumably on IMDb) start next Wednesday at 1PM EST with Ep #5555D and continues through Thursday 2/24. The last listing shown as of writing this is Ep #5595D with NO SKIPS!...it may continue beyond that, but that's good news for next week!

Does the Roku Channel match up to the Pluto airings?

Unless I'm much mistaken, 5514D is on Pluto right now.

It is.  5514D is definitely airing on Pluto (02/19 10 AM EST).

There appears to be a major glitch as it relates to what's scheduled to air on Pluto, but I previously "forecasted" that new episodes (new to Pluto) would drop around this time in the morning.  Well, I said 9 AM, but I was originally wrong since I forgot to factor in the skipped episodes from before.  Those were skipped again, so what looks like a cancelled marathon may actually take place.  Or maybe not; Pluto typically skips episodes that are part of a special prior to the special and then again following it.

Looks like new stuff that I don't think aired on IMDB/Roku or anywhere else is slated to show up during the early hours of 02/20/2022 in the Eastern Time Zone (should be starting with 5555D)

For those wondering, Pluto will move forward with newer episodes (not see on either that channel or IMDB/Roku), starting at 2 AM EST on Sunday, 02/20/2022.  Whether they air stuff all the way until 500 or reset midday (following 35 episodes) has yet to be determined

I just got done watching 5555D and noticed that Penny Ante had its second sign but still had the first version of the green and blue paint job. I didn't catch the previous playings to see whether this change was present but it's interesting to see that the entire board wasn't changed all at once.

The actual retail price is...

And apparently they've not dusted the board in the entire 6 years it had been around by that point

This might be a weird question, but when labeling recordings of full episodes, is it better to label them with the intended or the actual airdate? I ask since on this morning's 8AM show (5571D), it was originally meant for 1/21/1985, but aired 4/8/1985. I personally always put both an airdate and the episode number to avoid any ambiguity, so which would be more correct?

"The Price is Right (January 21, 1985 - Episode 5571D)", or
"The Price is Right (April 8, 1985 - Episode 5571D)"

Thanks!

When I record episodes of classic TPIR, this is the filename I usually assign to each file:

"The Price is Right #5570D (01-18-1985)"
"The Price is Right #5571D (04-08-1985)"

Or, if there was a notable moment in the episode, I give it an extension, like this:

"The Price is Right #5395D (09-14-1984, On the Nose debut)"

The reason for my labeling method is to allow for easier sorting in Windows and in playlists in WinAmp.

For those not in the know, the episode originally intended to air on January 21, 1985 was pre-empted due to coverage of Reagan's second presidential inauguration.

At the rate we're going, we miiiight get to Rod Roddy at the end of the year, if not earlier  :-)

Not to mention (and I might've said it earlier), but they're getting a lot of use out of that robot.
