I won't be happy. I loved Johnny.

Agreed, I would be happy for the feed to go from '72 (sans fur of course) to Johnny's last in '85, as that's the classic version in its prime IMO.

Might as well mention this, albeit several days late: It's now available on Plex too and the stream is similar to Roku (less commercials).

Speaking of Roku, they are adding episodes on demand lately. As of now, there are only 40 episodes from Season 13, all of which are in the rotation.

New episodes are returning, two a night, from the 13th through April 5th. This was just shared on social media.

This drop should go up to Johnny's last episode, on October 11, 1985.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

In last episode, it would just be the last episode that aired while he was still alive.  The last episode that was taped with him announcing doesn't occur for about a couple dozens episodes later.  So the next drop in a few months or so will feature half of his final episodes and the other half will be Gene Wood and other people

Well, the last episode to air during Johnny's lifetime. The last episode Johnny announced on aired November 21, 1985.

Any highlights to be looking to in this next drop? The ones I can think of:

  • Contestants' Row returns to its green color
  • Debut of Bump
  • Safe Crackers' set is refreshed to its current set
  • At least per the FAQ, Big Money Game appears (side note: do we know when it appears on daytime? I've heard it may have been a Kennedy exclusive)

The audience chairs changing from blue to red, the mics on the Showcase podiums changing. Not sure what else.

Pannoni would be the best person to ask.  I think he definitely is the one with the best & concrete details when it comes to the changes on the show.  However, a couple things that I think occur during this segment include the CBS Eye curtains going red & the Pick A Pair set going turning Sky Blue.  Other things like the 3rd Card Game set and the current Grocery Game set might not happen until the next batch of episodes

How were the Showcase mics altered?

Aside from the changes previously mentioned:
-Most Expensive pricetags changing from TPIR logo to numbered
-Switcheroo being altered to allow for 5-digit cars
-Blue portions of Bump logo become faded red
-"Ten Thousand" graphic added to Grand Game
-Danger Price set overhaul
-On the Nose revealing the sport prior to the pricing
-Potential changes to Walk of Fame, Balance Game, and/or Trader Bob

The above is my opinion and mine alone.

Changed from the original ECM51's, to the AT859's used in Contestant's Row.

Had I not looked up various 1985 episodes after my asking that question and prior to seeing your response, and seen "ah, silver here and black there", I am certain that I would not have understood your explanation. My apologies.

Placing that aside, I can confirm that the black mics were present by June 3, 1985 (#5761D). However, looking at the nighttime series I found episodes recorded in April 1985 which have the black mics as well as the old (blue) audience seats, which I note because #5761D appears to have the new (red) seats.
