If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it, but is there a schedule for Season 50 anywhere yet? Usually, it's up at least a week before the new season starts.

For what it's worth, this was intended to be the second aired episode of the season (9512K).

Maybe the intended first episode wasn't worthy enough to be aired as the opener, or it is being held out until the end of the week.
How do you know that?
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I enjoyed the show and thought the contestants were mercifully less frenzied (at least on this episode) than of late. Nice to see Bonus on the premiere (and boy, that pasta maker was a definite red herring). I did really like the images reflected in the opening logo.

Inspecting the page source on the Rent clip on cbs.com reveals the number within the link.

Oh, that's new that clips can show that number before 6pm now. Interesting.

This is my one gripe about the new regime/current television. They film all week saying no descript things about what day of the week it is so they can air it in any order they want. "New season!" instead on "Season Premier!" just so they can make sure to air a big win on a certain day instead of planning a specific premier episode no matter what the outcomes may be of that episode.

I don't have actual data to back this up but when they move episodes around on a given week it usually means the rest of the week is not as good so I am hopeful this does not follow the past trends.

Yeah, count me as one who misses the season premiere of old, instead of the premiere week of today. Make the first show a big spectacle, and if nothing is won, it should still stand out as the premiere episode because of all the other nice touches they throw in.

In a way, you could almost take this all the way back to Carey's debut in Season 36. They didn't air his first episode as the premiere then either in lieu of a perfect show, wasn't aired for over a month in fact. Didn't like the practice this, don't like it now.

It may be, but you lose some of what made the show special in the process. It what it is I suppose though.

Pay The Rent is an obvious choice for a million dollar game, but there are so many more interesting ways to offer a million bucks than 10xing everything. Anybody would have done what Robert did. No TPIR contestant, whether they understand Pay the Rent or not, is ever going to turn down $100,000.

At least set it up so there’s some suspense! $1,000/$5,000/$10,000/$1 Million would have been interesting, or set the normal money tree up for an easy $100K then require the contestant to predict the safe’s GP price to the penny to multiply their winnings by 10.

Decent show overall. The $48k pool was worth more than both car games combined. :D Wouldn’t mind seeing other “weird” prizes during premiere week.

Good to have the audience back, even if they’re making multiplication symbols with their arms during Do the Math.

Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

Lots of big prizes but lots of disappointment for a season premiere. This was probably the least impressive season premiere I’ve seen in years and it’s the big 5-0. WTH?

Remember we have a 50th Anniversary prime time special coming up in a few weeks. That is where I expect you will see the big spectacular prizes. It makes sense since the special will have a larger audience plus and to make the special feel... well... special.

Not to throw cold water onto things (pun intended), but that pool package has to be one of the most impractical prizes ever offered (starting with the tax implications).  I doubt that pool will ever be built.
So this is the "get off of my lawn" stage of my life.  I'm not impressed.
