From YouTube, via BillCullen.net, the very second telecast of The Price Is Right from November 27, 1956. A couple of notes--the buzzer used to denote final bids would be used later for when everyone overbids, and the "E" key ding is not affected on frozen bids. It is not known if the debut show exists (it has been duly noted it does not).

The bargain hunters for today:

* Phyllis Hemmingway, who won $1535 in merchandise on the debut show.

First item: An infrared rotisserie oven from Roto-Broil.

The items are a deep brown ranch mink jacket, a white satin hat, a 17-jewel miniature watch, a leather handbag and a 3-piece set of Winship luggage. Viewers are to send their postcards with their total bid on everything in the showcase to:
