That Cover Up playing was just … wow. Not sure that’s ever happened before.

Also, does anybody know if this is the first time one of the “games” shown in Cover Up was played on the same episode? Here, one of the games the contestant has to cover up was Pay the Rent, which was played today.

Pay the Rent had three solutions, all of which had the same top two floors:

Tea (3.99) < Pickle Chips + Crackers (4.29 + 4.99 = 9.28) < Seasoning + Pizza (1.59 + 7.99 = 9.58) < Cleanser (9.99)
Pickle Chips (4.29) < Tea + Crackers (3.99 + 4.99 = 8.98) < Seasoning + Pizza (1.59 + 7.99 = 9.58) < Cleanser (9.99)
Crackers (4.99) < Tea + Pickle Chips (3.99 + 4.29 = 8.28) < Seasoning + Pizza (1.59 + 7.99 = 9.58) < Cleanser (9.99)

Cover Up: Whether intentional or not, this was the perfect example of why you should get the second number wrong on the first try and why you should know the unwritten rule that the top number of the last column is never correct. What a win!

Holy crap, what a win on Cover Up.  Other than an exacta, you can't do better than that - except this is better play, almost, than an Exacta IMO because you're giving yourself the best chance to keep going if you didn't get everything perfect.  Well done!

Speaking of Cover Up, how many years after 2010 did the show premiere more than one game in a year? True, it's not exactly something they need to worry about, as there won't be that many more opportunities to play Cover Up this season.

mumble grumble would've lost Pay The Rent on the first step (so much for "put the second most expensive item in the mailbox")

(Speaking of Cover Up) the unwritten rule that the top number of the last column is never correct.

Wow! As a LFAT, I thought I knew all of the show’s nooks and crannies. I can’t believe that I’ve personally never realized that about Cover Up’s last digit setup. Thanks for pointing that out.

If I recall correctly, I believe the reason why that is is because a contestant would need to be six feet tall in order to reach the top number of the last column without stretching. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Is this the first time since 2020 that the contestant had $1 bills in their hand during Lucky 7?

Sure you can. Get the last digit right on the first turn, and then auto win every other digit from then on.

I'm 5'8", and I didn't have to exert myself in order to load the top number onto the board. I had to reach up, but it wasn't any kind of struggle.

At least not since season 42.

The February 11 show had Plinko as part of Cover's theme and was played as the next game after Cover.

They could've used 2006 for Cover Up also since it also had two games debut-- Balance Game and Stack the Deck. But I get them wanting to jump to 2010 to get two Drew era games in before the season ends.

Speaking of Cover Up, how many years after 2010 did the show premiere more than one game in a year? True, it's not exactly something they need to worry about, as there won't be that many more opportunities to play Cover Up this season.
The first until 2021 with Back to 72 and To The Penny debuting at the beginning of this season.

It was a tough choice putting the pizza or the face cleanser in the attic in Pay the Rent. I would've been wrong going with the pizza.

Here's Emily's mother, if anyone was looking.

This episode really was the tale of two halves; it definitely got more exciting after the reveal of the fourth game, and things escalated.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

-thatvhstapeguy, Discord message, April 5, 2023
