Microphone in props
« on: May 24, 2023, 11:17:46 AM »
It sounds like the That’s Too Much prop has a microphone inside because when Drew presses the buttons the mechanical sound of the fake price flipping around is noticeably louder than before. Does anyone know if there is a mic inside the prop?

What other games have a mic on the prop other than Plinko?

Push Over has a mic in the box, that’s how we hear the blocks falling.

I know the Plinko board used to have a mic on the top of the board on the right side. Is that still there?

Are we sure there's actually a mic in that game? I assumed Drew's lavalier mic was picking up the flip of the cards. Given the length of the board, they'd probably need more than one mic to cover the whole thing.

Don’t forget the mic in Safe Crackers to pick up the squeaking door.

Kidding. I also think the TTM “clunk” is just being picked up on Drew’s mic.

Is Drew's lavalier and handheld mic both hot at the same time? I guess this question could also be asked for the constant's row and showcase podium mics.

Probably not both hot all the time to avoid phase cancellation, assuming that's still a thing, but they can certainly pot up one over the other when they need to.

Whenever the lav mic picks up something Drew says it’s always significantly quieter than the handheld. This is probably the case.
