Blockbuster video vs Game show

I know technically the game show came first but The show has been on reruns enough times and there was a period in which they both existed at the same time in the original run. I am just curious if anyone else thought the game show have to do with the video rental brand or at the least a show about movies or TV shows because of the great popularity of the video rental company Blockbuster videos for a great deal of time. (I mean they even both use the yellow background) do you think The video rental company like the game show. everyone's experiences are appreciated.
