Show wasn't that boring y'all. Recap's up.

Notes for tomorrow:

- We have 2 shows tomorrow. I will do the night time special first, provided my CPU issues don't act up again. (I will be having it looked at Tuesday.)
- If my CPU does act up again, I will do the daytime show tomorrow and the primetime special on Saturday.

You're right, it wasn't a bad episode! Two of my top games, Temptation and Pathfinder, got played, and I gotta say, both look real sharp still. Pathfinder especially pops, minus the weak lights on the green numbers. Loved seeing that win on a great playing!

Check-Out's "$7 waffles" was heartbreaking - so close! I'm a bit out of the loop BTW, what makes it "The Repaired Check-Out"?

I'm not surprised that Squeeze Play's contestant Stephanie didn't choose $9898, it's a weird-looking price (even when you work out that's it's a double prize, it's $4949, which is a weird price too). At least she still got some Wheel money!

It was reported here that during the move from TVC to Haven the eggcrate display on the Check-Out prop had been damaged and would be in need of repair.

EDIT: Here is the original post:

"Moving day" was actually 10 days. Friday was the final day of moving when most of the larger props were loaded. It took them 96 truck loads to send everything over. Unpacking in Glendale starts on Wednesday. The doors, the turntable, and even the small tag were loaded and sent over. Everything was carefully dismantled and labeled before being loaded. 5000 sq ft of new flooring was also loaded up.

Also not to cause any panic, but the loading wasn't the most delicate procedure. I doubt this will turn up to anything visible on air, but Check-Out's large eggcrate display was damaged while being packed. Again, I doubt this will turn into anything that would be a visible change, but if the game randomly has a monitor instead of an eggcrate this fall, you'll know why.

There's also an error in the recap. The Do the Math third panel has a + when there should be a -.

The Check-Out eggcrate looks really crisp. I thought for a moment that they just used a REALLY realistic LED rendering of an eggcrate display.

So, Check-Out and its eggcrate survive. I didn't think I'd be in studio for its first playing of the studio, especially after reading the reports of its damage. I was excited to see if anything had changed and pleasantly surprised when it looked as if nothing had. Something did happen though that would be a tip off something had happened to the game.

So, when they revealed the price of the seasoning (3.99), it appeared on the eggcrates as "9.39" They erased that off the display and tried to put it back on and it still appeared as "9.39" They erased it off the display and then we just sat there for a few seconds before the stagehands came out and worked on the game from the back. After a few minutes, someone realized that the inputs for the 3 and 9 were swapped and switched them back.

During the stopdown, while they were trying to figure it out, Drew goes "I wish Gina were here." And I'm certain Tris and I were the ONLY ones in the audience who knew what he meant. I definitely went like "awww."

Additionally at some point during this show, I think after Game 3 or 4, Drew recorded the Hawaii disclaimer message that aired before the season premiere. This is where he had a hard time getting through it and it took about 3-4 takes. He didn't feel natural saying "thoughts and prayers" and switched to what the final product ended up being.

I like what they've done with Pathfinder.  They don't need the huge panels anymore now that we're more or less post-COVID, but keeping scaled down versions of them really makes the board look good.
