Things must be really tight backstage. I’m noticing the absence  of many set pieces (the ME pyramids, the side things on 1/2 Off, the block sculptures on Eazy).

Even the most naive of Price watchers can tell by now that the placement of the money in 1/2 Off isn’t random. If you pay close attention to the theme, your probability of winning 1/2 Off is better than it looks.

Well the ME pyramids were in prior playings I think, but not the carpet. Seems to be inconsistent at the moment.

I did not like the Bag setup much. No one was going to go Lysol there. Also the bail amounts get ridiculous when tripled like that.

Triple was a step up from the usual setups, at least the last car was not the cheapest option with YES in it - but that still wasn't getting won. Overall this show seemed to get the short stick of the budget.

Anyone else a bit tired of meme boxes in Half being right? It does trivialize the game.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Not that the first two primetime episodes were bad, but it was nice to have one that wasn't advertising another show, and Price was the focus all night.

^Yes, it was nice that this special wasn't about plugging another show and no celebrity guest.

That was a tough setup in Bag to start off, the last 3 bags were far from obvious picks.

I knew we'd be seeing Triple Play at some point tonight. The second and third cars didn't have the easiest setups, the last was a total toss-up between the 2nd and 3rd choices and even the 1st could've been right.

I didn't blame them too much for going lower on the clock in Bonus Game since it did look pretty small and cheap, but I wasn't surprised it was higher. Too bad that's where they put the bonus.

Of course the money was in box 3 in 1/2 Off.

Lysol items have never been cheap, and they've only gotten more expensive since they reappeared after the shortages in 2020.  Thinking this must have been the large can (19 oz. or so)?  I seem to remember getting one last year that was clearance and still like $3 or a bit less (so very likely it was $11 or close to that originally, maybe even a bit higher, since the clearance was up to 75% off if I remember correctly).

When you're splitting the money three ways, they're exactly the same.

Given that everything else in the cash games was tripled, I wonder if the perfect pricing bonus in 1/2 Off would have been $3,000.  We'll probably never know.

Well the ME pyramids were in prior playings I think, but not the carpet. Seems to be inconsistent at the moment.

It seems to me like there's been a progression.  The first playing, it looked like they tried to stage everything normally but then realized the carpet wasn't going to fit.  The second playing, they made room for the carpet by clumping all the other set pieces together near the back.  This show was taped much farther along, and it looks like by that time, they just decided they'd have to sacrifice some of the backdrops (and possibly the prize bases -- I can't tell whether that was a space thing or a "There's way too much blue here" thing).

For as much speculation as there was about Contestants' Row this summer, it's become clear three weeks in that the Big Doors are actually a much bigger issue (no pun intended).  There's noticeably less space behind them, and especially behind Door #2, than there was in Studio 33, and there's probably not anything they can do about it.

Indeed-- in 33/Barker at Television City, Bob and Drew (and Tom and Dennis) could set up back there, get ready, and come right out when they were brought out. Nowadays, it seems that the wall and Door 2 are right close together around Drew, so it may be more of a squeeze at Haven.

They definitely wanted Triple Play and Bonus Game won but who buys an Alarm Clock Radio anymore?  Box "3" in 1/2 Half Off was just too obvious especially for a $30K payout.  I'm kinda surprised they didn't have James and Devon on with a fully female audience, but Amber and Manuela are close personal friends and per their Instagrams have had plenty of their own Girls Night Out so that worked out fine.
