Was that the first time two contestants had won the exact same amount and they had to flip a coin to decide who spun first?

The first two games were won today (hooray for Brian for winning Bonus Game after missing the first two small prizes), and the rest of them were lost. We had yet another show where both SCSDs had $1.00 spinners, which is always a treat to see, even when neither one wins extra money. I would suggest for future contestants reading this to not look at the audience in Time is Money since that's a good way to lose several thousand dollars at one time, besides you need as many guesses as possible to win some money.

Nope.  It's happened several times over the years.  Apparently in the past they would do a drawing and then more recently, it was a coin-toss

I remember the first time I saw a tie and Mr. Barker asked "And how do you suppose we broke that tie?" and I replied "With a coin toss.", and he said "We had a drawing".  I was disappointed.  Would have been awesome to use a Barker dollar from Balance Game 84 and actually show the coin toss!

While I am hardly Pay the Rent's biggest fan, I'd far rather play that grocery item game for cash than Time is Money.

It seems like so many contestants over the years end up winning $0.

I realize they don't just want to give $20,000 away, but the game results in so many $0 outcomes and does not lend itself well to play along with at home either.  Never been a huge fan of this game and the lackluster results keep reinforcing in me exactly why.

At least with Pay the Rent you have a half decent chance at $10,000.

Howdy Y’all!

Here is my issue with today’s show: I am so afraid of this new administration falling into the same trap as the previous administration in reference to “not knowing how to maintain the shows budget” in a reasonable, fan and contestant friendly way.

Bonus Game and 1 Right Price were set up so that a 5th grader could win.  This will lead to shows that are impossible to win anything.  Just saying.

Bonus Game:  Easy breezy

1 Right Prize: Easy, the distance rule is always your friend.

Gas Money:  She ran out of gas very early….lol

Time is Money:  Did we “really” expect a different result?

Cover Up: A “double number “!!  UGH!  When is the last time that happened in this game?

Coming or Going:  He still gotta go to the gym.  He was a fun contestant though. My Granddaughter was giggling when he “switched” the price after the end.

Showcases: Mesh.

Love You Mamma Bev!!

Love Y’all here in Golden-Road Land!

A bit late to the party, but I do have some additional insight into this episode.  This was the 2nd of three tapings on Tuesday, September 26th.  I was in the audience for the late taping that day and remember seeing Michael R. carrying his souvenir "Come on Down!" cue card out of the studio as we were queuing to come in, so as soon as I heard George announce his name at the top of the show I knew it was that episode.  We didn't know for sure when the earlier tapings from 9/26 were scheduled to air, but since they had filmed the Halloween episode the day prior I'd assumed it would be early November.

This episode contains four of the same six pricing games that were played in the episode I attended (0464L, scheduled to air Thursday 1/25/24), and I think they may have used one of the same cars in both episodes as well but for different pricing games.  My episode had Balance Game instead of Time i$ Money, and Check Game instead of Coming or Going?  They did use a different pricing game order as well.

I'll share more details on the episode I attended once 0464L airs.
