Really? We have a DSW and no one is interested? :P

This show will qualify as underrated. Some really good contestants, particularly Eldon and Emilia.

Two things I've noticed about today's show:

1. In this month's episodes, $37,500 has shown up as an ARP and as a bid.
In the coulda-woulda-shoulda, Allen's failed bid from 1/19/24 would have put Emilia at $309, and absolutely perfect for a :dsw:  for Christopher on 1/18/24. I keep noticing the coincidences of better bids being a day later.

2. I wished Ashley had kept their first guess. How many times has this happened in season 52?

Painful, unfortunate result in Temptation.  Despite not hitting the center slot Eldon still had a good haul in Plinko.  Always nice to see a DSW.

Howdy Recap Captain!!

I had an ice storm to contend with here in Chicago.  So I'm late to the party..

Today was almost a truly PERFECT episode of TPIR.

Temptation:  Painful to watch.  ALWAYS trust your gut.  Your 1st mind.

Pick A Number:  I'm sorry but she was annoying.

Vending Machine Game:  Emilia was a perfect contestant.  She thought for herself, was very sweet and friendly.  On and off the stage as I met her during my 2nd trip to Glendale.  Having Mom present was what she needed to break the ice and get called down.

Showcase Showdown #1:  How does Michelle like the #1 now?  HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!
Even my grand baby saw the justice in Emilia giving Michelle "the fatal blow" in at the Big Wheel.

Any Number:  He tried his best until calling 0.  Side swipe here:  That was the cheapest piggy bank I have seen in Any Number in a hot minute.

Plinko:  When someone $1ers a previous bid when they ARE NOT the last bidder in the sequence they will get no mercy from me.  Especially if they get "salty" when another bidder follows the common sense protocol of $1er'ing them...ROFL.  Amy had the nerve to get salty with Eldon.

$3500 was just the opening course for Eldon.

Double Prices: Great things come to those who wait.  And the $1er trick only netted her the $300 door prize...lol

Showcase Showdown #2:  The TPIR God's were smiling on Eldon today.  Did you notice who that Big Wheel straight up barely popped to 75cents at the end?

Showcases:  You can't go wrong with a double car showcase day!!  And you dang sure gotta smile when a great contestant like Eldon hits the Double Car Showcase Win Jackpot!!   It's only a shame that 1 of them had to lose baring a bidding difference tie.

Stay careful on these icy sidewalks and roads Golden Road Family!!

Love and Life To All!

I think this was the second time in a row that Temptation was lost in that fashion.  Certain plays call for a change, but today was not one of them.  That's too bad.

Happy for Emilia & Eldon, especially the latter.  In addition to his showcase outcome, I think his Plinko winnings were very good.  Can't do too much better than that when it comes to playings without a center slot hit

I long for the day when Drew explains the $250 or under showcase rule.  I also long for the day when he reads it with suspense and excitement, like Bob used too.

To be fair, was it really explained much in years, if ever?

"However, if you are the winner, and you are $250 or less away from the retail price of your own showcase, you win both showcases!"

So yes, it was explained ever.  Frequently, in fact.

I stand corrected then. Maybe they felt an explanation was unnecessary later on?

The rules are explained by Chris Donnan, the game producer. It is done off camera, so that is why it is not explained during the show.

I was referring to during the show, given Deffin's comment where they wish Drew would explain it. I need to word my comments better.
