Howdy!

One Away:  She got “Dice Gamed”.

1Wrong Price:  My granddaughter could have won that….lol

Item Up #3: Rita really put all of herself into it!!  Hahahaha.  But I mean that as a clean, fun joke.

Hot Seat:  $5k isn’t nothing to sneeze at

Pick A Pair:  HE won’t be having a drink with me in Chicago

Money Game:  She gets a new car!!

Squeeze Play:  Most casual viewers would have fallen prey to that set up as well.

Showcases: I’d have went over on both of them

Love and Light To All!!

I was at today's episode; you can see me in the right section two or three rows back right next to George's podium. Fellow superfan Dean [you may remember him as the one dressed as the Big Wheel who won dinner with Drew playing Bullseye] was also two rows right behind me; his coworker Joanne was called down during the second act.

I got the chance to chat with George a few times during breaks--I mentioned we were in town to go to Universal and he recommended hitting up the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at CityWalk while we were there, which I'll echo. He recognized me from yesterday's taping as "Flip". I wanted really badly to ask him what happened with the prize copy the previous day, but I had already drawn enough attention this trip.

I had a hunch the five was right in One Away, but the audience drowned me out.

Willard's family was right behind me in One Wrong Price--I was yelling the fireplace (the 123 rule) and the audience agreed. During One Wrong Price Drew joked "Ben" was the sequel to "Willard"; the audio tech pulled up the song "Ben" by Michael Jackson during the break which was the theme to that movie.

I remember the One Bids taking quite a bit longer to film this episode (and judging by the amount of times the final episode cuts to Drew between contestants, I'm remembering right) because the started the practice of shutting off the studio monitors during the One Bids around this episode, so the audience was reluctant to yell bids.

But on the right side, I could see a program monitor just off the set showing the regular camera angles, so I tried helping Joanne as best I could. Wasn't successful, unfortunately, and she ended up joining the $300 club.

After the taping, Dean, Joanne, his other coworkers, Matt (who stayed in the hotel studying for an exam still reeling from the shock), and I headed to In-n-Out for a post-show briefing. We chatted for about an hour--I hope it was only Dean's second best meal where the Price is Right was discussed--and then headed back to the hotel to make preparations for Universal the next day.

I'm impressed with how much smoother the process had become in the two and a half months since the premiere taping.
Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."
