What happened to the original 12-frame door panels used for the Big Doors from 1972 to 1996?
In 1996 the door panels were replaced with the ones from TNPIR from 1993 and those were repainted various times, but sold at an auction sometime in 2008 and are in the hands of various collectors.
Were they placed in the CBS Prop Shop (which of most of these props were later moved to Haven Studios after the move, likely including retired set pieces) or thrown away, or like the 1993 door panels, given to someone?

I highly doubt that. Odds are they were either discarded or auctioned off...but if the latter is true, to whom they're with right now is unknown.
