2024 Oscar Awards Memoriam

Hi!  I want to let everyone know Bob Barker is one of those greats left out of the memoriam part of this years Oscar Awards.   He wasn’t in an Oscar nominated movie Happy Gilmore but I think he should’ve been ( Burt Bacharach and Suzanne Sommers among others too.  .  Anyone seen these movies that have been nominated and won?  I’ve not seen any.

Burt died last year.  So they would've honored him for the 95th Academy Awards.


I don't think Suzanne's absence is a big deal; JMO.  As for Bob, that is anything but a snub.  I do recall his comment about his entire movie career being represented on the shirt of a fan that promoted Happy Gilmore.

People magazine me mentioned online.  Suzanne’s was in American Graffiti.   I wonder if Tony Bennett and Sinead O Connor  had a song or appeared in a movie whom didn’t mentioned it neither.

Do we have any evidence that Bob was a member of the Academy? I am guessing he was not.

No snub here. One role in a relatively minor movie does not warrant his inclusion.

Bob wasn't a member of the Academy. If he was snubbed from the Emmys, that would be noteworthy. This is not.
