Two $1.00 ties Showcase Showdown today! Wow.

And speaking of wow, what a fantastic, speedy win in Bonkers. Nicely done in Cover Up as well.

Man. What a first half.

All three games won. A master class playing of Cover Up. Double $1000 winners on the wheel, one becoming a $10,000 win and the other going to the showcase (what a great break for the contestants…everyone leaves happy!).

And then the second half.

I thought Switch was bordering on the easiest setup I’ve ever seen. Obviously that wasn’t four grand worth of washer/dryer…and you can’t buy a piano for $2000. A contestant in a coma would have won it.

A one try four second Bonkers win. Wow. Could we be on track to a perfect show?!

Nope! The Master Key wipeout was obviously meant to be. I made the same mistakes…the small prize set up was evil. That vacuum sealer looked expensive and the spice rack looked verycheap. The opposites were true. Alas.

And that wheel is an inferno right now. Another two $1000 winners…and four overall in one show. Wow!

Overall, still 5/6 with a wild wheel. The show is hot hot hot. Very very good show indeed.

Recap done.

Things went wrong with the car purchase today due to an insurance snafu so I won't have the car for a few weeks.

Drew cracking up over how dumb "national" holidays are nowadays got me chuckling.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

What are you on about?! It was very much a wipeout. There was no loss because there was nothing to lose. No choices could be made. A painful loss would have been getting one key and having it be the dud.

I actually don't use PAINFUL LOSS. I use PAINFUL BAILOUT, but that's about it.

Honestly, I think adjectives used to describe a loss are often subjective and based on opinion.

If you lose, no matter how heartbreaking, if it ruins a potentially perfect show, if the loss/wipeout was intended … it’s still a loss in my mind.

Same with a bailout … if done at the right time or if the next pick would’ve won the grand prize … it’s still a bailout.

Just my two cents worth.

I could've sworn that PAINFUL LOSS has been used in the past.  Oh well.

Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal.  Whether someone losses in the worst way (AKA Wipeout) or they were so close to winning but didn't get there, I think people (spectators and contestants) can judge the outcome off of their own personal scale.  If I was a contestant, won a nice gift in One Bid, played Time is Money, only for the time to expire 0.1 seconds before hitting the buzzer with a correct solution, I'd be okay with where I stood.  It didn't work out, I won something getting out of contestants row, and I have a chance to do more.  Furthermore, that's on me for not figuring out a correct solution sooner.

At the end of the day, for me I'd appreciate what I have at the point upon getting on stage.  A loss is a loss, partials are just that.  I don't put too much stock towards whether the result says WIN or LOSS.  Especially in PLINKO.  I tuned into the show; I'll know how things played out.

As for Key, to be honest, it would've been painful if both keys were won, but neither opened the car, or both opened one prize, but not a car key

It was for recappers previous to me. Even PAINFUL BAILOUT is a recent thing I came up with in the 2nd run of recapper.
