How oes your "status" get updated?
« on: August 23, 2007, 03:35:34 AM »
I was just wondering how you get your status changed in the forums. I see some people, including myself, are standing outside in line, others are in contestant's row, etc. Is it based off of your day-to-day activity in the forums, or the # of posts you make?

Your status, or as some of us call it the ranking, under your name depends on the number of posts you make in the forums and the Golden Gallery.  There is a number of posts one needs to get to move up a higher level.  Here are the rankings and the post numbers associated with each:

1-49 posts: Outside in Line-1 star
50-149 posts: In the Audience-2 stars
150-299 posts: In Contestant's Row-3 stars
300-499 posts: Walking the Golden Road-4 stars
500-999 posts: Taking a Bonus Spin-5 stars
1,000+ posts: Double Showcase Winner-6 stars

Moderators of this forum and past TPIR contestants get different stars than the rest of us.  Moderators have large red stars, while contestants have a spinning gold star.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Actually BRB, Moderators get five large orange stars.  The administrators, Marc and Robert Searcy, have five large red stars.

Forgot about that, he's an administrator and a TPiR Alumnus; thanks for pointing that out.

...So if you keep making low quality posts, do you end up with "First Four Breakfast Club"?

Not only that, you'll have a spinning Losing Horn marker and a moniker that says "Resident of Banville"!  :-D
