GOLDEN ROAD: Ow.

CLOCK GAME: Probably one of the best playings of Clock Game I've seen in a while.

PLINKO: Ouch.  A mere $2500.

GROCERY GAME: I knew she had lost when she picked four shampoos.  Johnson and Johnson's Baby Shampoo isn't cheap.

ANY NUMBER: Ouch.  At least the picnic equipment goes with the camping gear, and at least he didn't win the piggy bank.

DOUBLE PRICES: I called it right. She called it wrong.

SCSDs: No money today.

SCs: For once, I neither overbid nor badly garfed the showcases!

OVERALL: 1.5/5.  This show, for the lack of a better word, stunk.  At least Dale (our only winner today) won that Mustang to save the show somewhat.
"Nobody cares about the guest stars." - Roger Dobkowitz

"Change isn't always good. Sometimes changing things is a terrible mistake." - Bob Barker

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

I knew Drew would slip and say "Whose Line" instead of "Price Is Right" one of these days.

HOTTIES: #31, Karen :-D
BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY: It's up to Frank today
SHOW GRADE: 2

GOLDEN ROAD:  WOW!  That was a sweet-looking Corvette, or as I called it in chat, a "banana-mobile".  :-D  Oy...that bumper pool table was really tricky today.  :-(

CLOCK GAME:  Sorry Sally (again!), but this was easily one of the best playings I've seen in a long time despite a few slip-ups.  :-D

PLINKO:  GRRR...bad luck strikes again like lightning!  As for my prediction...GRRR...off by a mile!  :-x

GROCERY GAME:  That baby shampoo was E-V-I-L!

ANY NUMBER:  At least Kevin will have the satisfaction of knowing that camping equipment and picnic gear go hand in hand.  :-D

DOUBLE PRICES:  This should not have been lost, plain and simple.  Waverunners aren't THAT cheap!  :-x

SCSDs:  I think I can officially declare the Big Wheel to have "cooled down" somewhat.  :P

SHOWCASES:  I had wrongly called a "Fireball Special" for SC-2; however, seeing the Arthur Murray dance lessons and the Wurlitzer One More Time CD jukebox in today's second Showcase brought me back to this particular "Fireball Special" Showcase back on April 9:

Quote
From Joe_Capitano's First Run Recap for April 9:

SHOWCASE #2:
Ashley Lambert Living Room Group
Mohawk Carpeting
Artur Murray Dance Lessons
Wurlitzer One More Time CD Jukebox (S)

PRICE   13,014

Suffice it to say, 22 out of 25 people in the chatroom that day went home very unhappy campers after seeing that ARP, and I went home with a $14 DSW...and a winner's trophy to boot!  :-D

OVERALL SHOW GRADE:  2.0/4.0 (C)

I originally gave this show a "D", but I added points for Plinko today.  In my view, despite the exception of the tricky bumper pool table on Golden Road, there were some pretty questionable choices that were made.  Sometimes, listening to the audience can be a bad idea, especially with Any Number on the docket.

Right at the beginning of the 3rd segment.  I wasn't able to hear what Drew was saying when coming back from commercial in studio because of the applause, but I guess the "welcome back to the price is right" when coming back from commercial was almost instinctual - given he did that on Whose Line for several years.  Glad to see he's dropped that.

Golden Road-Well, looks like it's official; no more dots in this game.  I guess this now means Golden Road is going to use all 3 doors for the prizes and no more of those spinning prize podiums.
Regarding gameplay: man, that Corvette sure looked sweet!  Bummer that he couldn't get past the 2nd prize, though.  I figured the pool table would be $2849.

Clock Game-Now that's how you play this game!

Plinko-"Plinko Heaven" :-D  Plinko Heaven wasn't generous for her, though.

Grocery Game-Man, we've had some poor playing in this game lately.  Every single playing has resulted in the contestant picking the cheapest item first, then backing themselves into a corner.

Any Number-Last season Price seemed to offer alot of Ford Mustangs.  The Ford Explorer so far is tending to be the Mustang of Season 36.  Close, but no win for Kevin.

Golden Road---That Chevy Corvette was nice!  But unfortnuately for Jared, he couldn't go past that damn pool table.  I had guessed 5, he guessed 7.  We both lost.  Roger got his wish----everybody was going to go past the tennis equipment, and most normal people would miss the pool table.

Clock Game---Despite some slip-ups, Dale manages to get both prizes and $1,000.

Plinko---Luck was definitely not on Victoria's side only getting $2500.

Grocery Game---I cringed when Cara chose 3 Baby Shampoos.  Yep, Cara went over.

Any Number----Ouch, that setup was a bit tricky.  Bad news, Kevin didn't win the Ford Explorer.  Good News, Kevin didn't win that damned piggy bank.  Well at least the picnic equipment does go hand in hand with camping equipment.  I had a sinking feeling the other 2 was in the price of the Explorer and I was right.

Double Prices----I think that the Waverunner was given on a silver platter to Vicki and she blows it by choosing the wrong price.  This setup was easy---I felt that this should have been won.

Showcases----Dale, the only outright winner got the Mustang Convertible!

Golden Road: I hate it when the contestant doesn't make it to the end. But i'm not sure too many people would have gotten that far today-that pool table price could have been anything and all 3 numbers looked like decent choices.

Clock Game: Well, there's the highlight of gameplay today. Nice win.

Grocery Game: Take it from a father-to-be. Baby shampoo ain't inexpensive.

Any Number: Well, it could have been worse, he could have won the piggy bank.

Double Prices: **sigh**

Actually he didn't say it, he very nearly did though, which he mentioned obviously.

Website:  WHOO Passing Lane in Golden Road! :P

Sally:  "Second Thoughts"?!  It's a travesty, a sham, and a mockery!  But Dale's bidding was not a traveshamockery--it was stellar.

Before One-Bid #3:  "Welcome back to... Whose Line!"  LOL!

Borko:  "Stairway to Plinko heaven", a lesser-known song by Led Zeppelin. :oldlol: And I didn't know we were using "alakazam" and "shazam" in this game, too. :P

Grocery:  WHOO Phone Home Game cue! :P I'm pleasantly surprised to hear this cue for the very first time in a non-MP game.

Any:  The picnic baskets go perfectly with the camping equipment.

Dubble:  Should not have been lost.  $7,021 didn't even look right.

My showcase bids:
Mustang--$31,513
Random room/jukebox--$16,001

SHOWCASES:  I had wrongly called a "Fireball Special" for SC-2; however, seeing the Arthur Murray dance lessons and the Wurlitzer One More Time CD jukebox in today's second Showcase brought me back to this particular "Fireball Special" Showcase back on April 9:

And lest we forget that Mr. Schmarder went home with a 30-day vacation to Bansville for using one of the seven words you can't say on TV.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

hi all,
why does Drew mention the lack of a golden road in the golden road game? Did they purposely discontinue the use of the golden circles so Drew can make a joke about it? I'm pretty sure he made a remark about the "imaginary" golden road the last time it was played. Also, the lack of a golden road and the spinning podiums do kind of take away from the game. they might as well not play for expensive prizes anymore.

Golden: No Gold dots again, eh?  Even I knew the 8 was the 2nd number.

Clock: The only good highlight today. Impressive playing by Dale.

Plinko: $2500 is no small potatoes.

Grocery: When Cara said "3 Shampoos", I knew right away, another loss.

Any #: I really thought Kevin was gonna pull a comeback for that Explorer. But that tricky price done him in unfortunately.

Double: $7021.....Don't think so.

Showcases: Brandi is always our royalty. :D Great Job for Dale and that Mustang Convertible to boot.

A 2.50-star show.

It was easy to tell that this was a really early taping.  It almost felt like Drew was going through the motions in Golden Road.  I'll be interested to see how he does in that game when we get to it in some later tapings.

Dale played Clock Game beautifully.

Brandi's reaction at the end of the first showcase was hilarious.
