Mexican Price - Teleton Special
« on: December 08, 2007, 03:46:23 PM »
Mexican Price (Atinale al Precio) aired today as part of the annual Teleton. It was a celebrity-laden version played for charity, and Marco was hosting it.

Segments of Precio were interweaved with live studio and remote hits.

In the past, the Teleton has featured versions of Family Feud and Deal or No Deal as part of the 27-hour show.

Hmmm...ok.

First up (that I saw) was their version of Lucky $even.  The contestant lost.

Next up is PLINKO for $800,000.00 (pesos?)

Yes, Pesos. One of them equals about 9.22 cents US.

The other two games played were 3 Strikes and "4 Rounds", which is 'Punchboard' with a boxing theme.

It should be noted that the One-Bid items were actually things certain kids might require for their special needs.

In all the four players earned MEX $481,200 (Approx. US $44,500) for the Teleton, and the sponsor bumped that to MEX $2'000,000 (Approx. US $184,400). Not bad.

Gracias, amigo.  We're sure that this will eventually be in El Galleria de Oro soon.
