LONGEST....PLAYING....EVER! (Or, it seemed like it) I know he's got his own style, but this was one time when Drew really needed to pick up the pace. Today's playing was excessively long. Shouldn't take anyone more than two minutes to write ten chances. Of course, Jeffery didn't help his cause by making things hard at the end. With only six LOGICAL choices, this game was just set up for a victory - and he very nearly threw the last two away.

It seems like the agonizing Ten Chances playings always end up being won at the end, somehow. Today was definitely no different... that was difficult to watch. Not because it was played wrong, but because it took so freaking long.

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY: Maria
SHOW GRADE: 2

We clocked the entire Ten Chances segment at almost nine minutes (from calldown to end).  Amazing.

When the show is up on the web, I'm going to get a couple shots of Brandi.  She had a striking resemblance to Holly today with her hairstyle.  I could have sworn Holly modeled the first Item today.
They can be close at the top, too.

TEN CHANCES: Wow, just wow. Talk about a playing that takes more time to play than your average 3 Strikes playing. No wonder the show had to lift up the ol' restrictor plate the rest of the show...if you know what I mean.

As for the rest of the games...

EAZY AZ 1 2 3: Should not have been lost the way it did.

GRAND GAME: Tricky deal as far as four of the six items go. It seems like a forced loss.

COMING OR GOING: Can you believe Kristina almost went with going on this?

ANY NUMBER: Painful, just painful.

BARKER'S BARGAIN BAR: I went with the ET as well.

Showcases:

Rock 'n Roll: $30,000(850)
First Bank Of Price: $23,000(Willy)

Lucky $even Index:  3/7
2015-16 Big One Tracker: 65(3 PRIMETIME & 2 WIPEOUTS)
2016-17 Big One Tracker: 60
2017-18 Big One Tracker: 11

We need more trailers.

Jeff with his "$1'ing" shows that thinking clearly isnt a skill of his.   Ten chances was PAINFUL..Bob would have "buzzed him for time 2 or 3 times".  Contestants like him is why the network reduces the time for gameplay-taping.   I was hoping he would loss 10chances..but you cant win them all.   I was so happy he didnt get to the showcase, as the showcase requires "logical thought".

I laughed at how Drew poked fun of the Husqvarna Lawn Mower in Eazy Az 1 2 3.

I think they edited out an overbid in the second bidding round.  The camera zoomed in on Shawn as she was making a bid instead of cutting to a close-up shot of her and her sportstype display.

I sometimes worry about Ten Chances' status with all the time cuts recently; today's playing is probably one of the longest ever in the history of that game.  Jeffery took such a long time guessing the car's price and it seemed like the audience was just about to go into a riot towards the end of the game.  Drew should really hurry contestants around here if the need should arise.  Also, I think he kind of felt forced to fill in the time Jeffery took to look at the peanut gallery, but I have to give him brownie points for not losing his patience.  I was surprised that Drew didn't hit the button when Jeffery wrote $19,570 down for chance #10.  If Bob was hosting this, boy he would have been in such a bad mood.

After that Ten Chances playing, Drew went into a hurry-up mode for the rest of the show.  In the first SCSD, he didn't ask for contestants' shout-outs or walk up to the camera to throw to Rich like he usually does.

I also think they edited out an overbid in the fourth bidding round, they didn't cut to a shot of Drew asking for bids.

The presentation of the Ford Focus looked a bit tight with the staging of those backdrops that have been used in Switch? recently, IMO.

Ten Chances was just horrible. It took forever and Jeffery just played horribly, despite winning Perhaps the single worst playing EVER of this particular game and I know that is saying something since we've seen plenty of horrendous playings of this game over the years.

As far as Grand Game goes-that was just N-A-S-T-Y. I do not think anyone was gonna win that today. Getting to $100 was easy, but after that "good luck".

10C was a real energy riser! He managed to figure out El Cheapo at the last second, that darn car even forced him off of the zero rule in #9 (though -95 seems like a decent guess to the average contestant, not -095!). I don't see how someone using the 0 rule most of the way plays this game "horribly" - the win was the highlight of the show, though it's a valid note that Drew does need to assert himself, probably in this game the most, because at :23 (behind by several minutes) speed-up the rest of the way was inevitable, which always takes a bit of quality out of the rest of the show. Perhaps Drew only needs to speed contestants along in this game only, but it's critical he does to avoid such a back-up happening again.

Other notes: That wasn't an Ashley sofa, like the other woman who was there 30 years ago, she seemed stuck in the past underestimating the Gold Bond (though semi-tricky), surprising Coggy price gives the lucky other win of the day, :dob: completely screwed up A# - I thought it was -39 and 750 for sure, random expensive mini-bar wasn't very nice, unbelievable double garfs on SCs - didn't cover the motorcycles and barely covered the Jeep respectively.

He played horribly in that he: 1) Took forever to make one choice and 2) he constantly polled the peanut gallery. Do your own thinking people!

Maybe it's just because I didn't see this, but how was this worse than guessing SEVEN as the first digit of a Focus?  At least he kept all his guesses under $50,000.

They already have a rule that would nicely prevent this sort of thing from happening; they just choose not to enforce it.  I have a feeling they would start actually, you know, using that rule before axing the game.  (Although, to be fair, they'd probably up it to 20 or 30 seconds before actually denying a contestant their chance.)

At least with Rita (the woman who thought a Focus was $70k) there was a bit of hilarity, but Jeffery's playing? Nothing hillarious, there's not one single good thing to write home about this playing (well the fact it was won-but other than that...). Rita's playing was horrible, no doubt about it, but Jeffery's was just as bad because when it came down to the car price he just dawdled and dawdled around-it simply was agonizing to watch.

Overall, A TERRIBLE show today.

How is Gold Bond Lotion "tricky"?  The best TPIR contestants watch the show daily in some form...live network broadcast, or tape or dvr.   The losses today were the fault of the contestants, one has to wonder if Stan had an "off day" when chosing these people or did they b.s. thru the interview process only to get nervous on stage.   Letting 10chances play out like it did, the show is becoming its own worst ememy with the network.

I love Drew as a host, BUT, Bob would not have allowed the stupidity to fester in 10chances.

Today should have been a "perfect show"...as the correct choices were way to obvious....we wont even discuss the horrible bidding-game play in the showcase.

Eazy Az 1-2-3: I would've won there in that order rather than the one Maria did.

Grand Game: I had a feeling Shawn would lose the moment she picked the lotion. If only I knew what were the 2 other products that were less than $8.00. And the one that was more than $8.00.

Ten Chances: That took forever for that game to finish! Jeffery took too long to figure out the price of the car!  :oldevil: And why until the very last chance did he realized that the car cost around $15K.

Coming Or Going: In my mind it could've gone either way. Kristina stucked to her first instinct and won.

Any Number: The way Shauna played I thought she would win that car. It's a shame she didn't win that and ended up with the tea set. I would've won the money in the piggybank.

Barker's Bargain Bar: I had a feeling it was the bar.

SCSD #2: I wanted Samantha to win.

Showcases: I would bid $26,000 on Maria's showcase. I would also win both showcases by bidding $17,000 on the showcase that Shauna won today.

Eazy Az 123 - I can't believe she thought the massagers were more expensive than the sofa!  It was obvious to me what block went where!
Grand Game - Another WTF moment!  I can't believe she thought the lotion was more than $8.00!
Ten Chances - Took forever, but great win nonetheless!  I like how Drew doesn't rush the contestants, but he should've rushed Jeffrey a little!
Coming Or Going - I thought for sure the going price was right, but I was wrong, and I'm glad of it! :-)
Any Number - This was a cruel setup by :clipboard:!  Who would've guessed 7 for the last number in the price of the car?  It was obvious that :clipboard didn't want the car won!
Bargain Bar - Too bad! :-(

Overall, todays show was an "ehh."

Eeek! What happened to Brandi's hair?!

I definitely don't like it straight.

I thought Brandi's hair was very pretty today! :-D  Brandi is my favorite model out of all the models curently on The Price Is Right!
