Do we know if CheckOut has officially been exacta'd twice now?  Because in the tpir08 chat, most were saying this was actually the third time.  Anyone know for certain?  (Dates or seasons would be nice).

Thanks!

Definitely was not expecting a 4th of July show.  CBS just keeps surprising us! :-)

Wow, an exacta in Check-Out!  From what I've seen from the pictures in the Golden Gallery, that was actually the 3rd exacta.  Nevertheless, AWESOME! :-D

Yay, El Cheapo returns to Money Game!  Reve is victorious, and it results in a 2nd EXACTA today.

I don't know if there has ever been a 4th of July-themed episode of The Price is Right, but it was a nice surprise that they did one!

It seems like forever, but that pool cleaner reared its ugly head again in a pricing game setup.

It really came down to the wire in Any Number; it seem that it would be a tossup between the 3 and 4.  It really stinks that Joe picked the number that was one away from the right number to win the car.

I laughed at Drew's bit of "the evil British Empire" when talking to Pauline before the third game.

For the first time since 1990 (per an image in the Golden Gallery), there was an exacta in Check-Out!  I was jumping for joy when the actual total was displayed to be the same as Pauline's.  This is the first Check-Out win and exacta in the Drew Carey era.

Come to think of it this whole season had some historic wins on special occasions.  First the $30,100 new record in Plinko on Christmas, now the first exacta in 18 years on today's show, amazing.

For the only time so far this season, a contestant went with El Cheapo in Money Game and it was won!  What's even better is that El Cheapo was picked and it resulted in an exacta!

Yay!  I can finally comment on how awesome Check-Out was!  That was totally amazing...I know it's happened before, but it's the first time I've ever actually seen it.  I loved how Drew kept stressing that the contestant was from Canada, too.

You know, normally, I like it when Drew takes a cue from Bob...but he really shouldn't start declaring historic moments. :)  Seriously, believe it or not, many, many years ago, Check-Out was won with the exact total twice in two months.

Money Game was great, as well...not only was it played perfectly, but Reve defeated El Cheapo! :)

(...and that's probably the last time we'll ever see an intentionally-used El Cheapo.  Damn.)

And of course, you can't forget the whole Independence Day theme, which was especially well done up during the opening.  Is this the first time since they changed the studio's name that they cut out "From the Bob Barker Studio at CBS in Hollywood?"

Considering that the season usually, if not always, wraps up by now and CBS would normally be airing reruns, they've never had a chance to do an Independence Day-themed show before.

I was taken off guard by the border at first, but I think it worked very well.  I was very impressed.

Check Out was jaw dropping.  Exactas in the game sneak up on you.  I didn't think about it until the final product.

Money Game was wild.  I had a feeling that El Cheapo might have been the one, then again, I am a sucker for El Cheapo.

I think this was one of the best shows of the year.

Actually there was a time when Price would be airing new episodes at this time of year every season.  I remember reading a recap by Tice a few years ago on here that recapped a show from July 4th.  Not sure of the year though.

I don't remember recapping a July 4th episode, but it could be that Steve provided the airdate for me and it was never mentioned within the episode, so I forgot.

But I remember people mentioning a July 4th show where the showcase offered a car that was red, white and blue, and another with a showcase that offered a red car, a white car, and a blue car.

Very nice show for the 4th of July. Classy stuff.

Check Out was just flat out awesome. That's something you might see once every 18 years or so.

Money Game was great to watch as well. Take that "el cheapo".

I think I remember that, but I think it was a primetime special.

The last first-run Fourth of July episode was in 1985.

The last first-run Fourth of July episode was in 1985.

Then I stand partly corrected -- it would have been possible to do a show of this type in the past, but I never would have seen it.   ;)

Pretty good show for the 4th of July. I did not expect to see the set all decorated for the occasion...that was a nice surprise.

What else? Check-out exacta, El Cheapo defeated in Money Game...not bad at all!

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Wish I could remember more things still... do remember Reve was just so awesomely excited the whole time she was shown, though!  That was just really great to see her, in particular, defeat El Cheapo!
