Well it looks like we have only one episode of Season 36 left.  I hope it's a good one and I look forward to Season 37 this fall, knowing a new pricing game will debut.

I'm surprised no one has made mention of the M&M's visor cap a contestant wore (and which Drew made sure to mention.)  I thought that clothing with brand name logos was strictly forbidden for potential contestants.

As far as Switcheroo goes, Drew should explicitly state to the contestant something to the effect of "you can leave the blocks where they are and hope you have the car right, or make changes..."  Unfortunately, some people out there aren't LFaTs, and have indeed never seen the show before (shame on them.)

Drew needs to work on Switcheroo's explanation for next season.  The way he explains it now it's like the contestant is obligated to take another 30 seconds with a high number correct on the first try.  This game must be explained clearly:

"You have 3 right.  You can stop now, and see what you've won, OR you can take another 30 seconds to try to better your score."  That would be more along Bob's explanation. 

Drew's composite in this game. "Forget about all the other prizes except the car. (i.e very bad advice)  OK, you have 4 right, you can take another 30 seconds if you're not sure about the price of that car."  You know that someone might do that, amid an audience riot.  However, Switcheroo is a pressured time-constraints game, and you want to make the contestant feel that with as little as one right, it still could be the car.

In other words, Drew should speak of the value of the first turn and emphasize that you only should take the second turn if you feel comfortable in getting a better score.  Don't force the second turn.  Strategically, get as many small prizes correct, which can increase your chances of getting the car.

Drew does great with the explanation of losing $1000 in Grand Game if the contestant is wrong with the option of going on for $10,000.  He should treat Switcheroo with a similar impact in its explanation.

For those who think Drew is obligating Switcheroo contestants to use their second turn short of having all five numbers correct, I say, write the show then.

If his explanation is faulty, then wouldn't somebody (Dob, Kathy Greco, etc.) have taken Drew aside by now and said something like, "Hey, you're explanation is good, except you're forgetting to say that the second turn is optional." By your logic, the production and direction staff is also at fault.

OK, so we've had a few contestants on TPiR before who later admit they had never seen it before. What I'm saying is that I strongly advise anyone who is going — even if they plan to just sit in the audience — to at least watch the show beforehand, so you at least know what to do. The contestant who took 10 minutes to play "It's in the Bag" would have been unacceptable, IMO (I'd just buzz him and get on with the show).

1RP: WOW!! That's one expensive day bed!!! I knew that wasn't $5,065, but still. Good win.

Switcheroo: Well, First of all. Drew not giving Joyce an option to quit and see which three prizes are right did look a bit odd. Still, If I was in Joyce's shoes, I definetly would've left the car alone or just said I'll leave it as it is. I don't know if it was audience convincement or force of habit for her to to change it and cost her regretfully. I'll just let this one slide.

Take Two: I actually chose the right two. Too bad Heather didn't follow my instincts.

I agree that Drew should find a better way to state that the rules that the second turn is optional.  I think it hasn't been such an issue lately because most contestants in the last few playings have only gotten 0 or 1 item right on the first turn, so they're obviously going to change.  Today, Joyce had 3 right on the first turn, the best first turn in quite some time.  What compounds the issue is that it really did seem like Joyce was going to stop and not take the second turn.  Whether it was Drew not explicitly mentioning the option, audience pressure, the clock starting quickly after Drew finished talking, or whatever, she ultimately lost the car because of her switch.

The way Bob always explained the game (similarly to what's quoted above), made it distinctly clear that the contestant does not have to make any switches.  Drew's way of explaining it, while technically correct, could be construed as the contestant must to take a second turn.  With the  way he often emphasizes the car, some people might get the perception that the car's price is wrong and switch it, despite any evidence thereof.
