This thread belongs in Out in Left Field since it has nothing to do with The Price is Right. Topic moved.

I've seen Password.  It looks pretty cool.  I haven't seen PYL yet.

Here is a picture of the new Password game.  It's kinda stupid that they made the letters so small that they needed to add a typing wand.

And here is Press Your Luck.  This one looks sweet.

The PYL game looks pretty good. I do like the styling of the Password game apart from the small "keyboard."

Oh, there is a regular Password, then.....my Super Password isn't that old, so it's kind of weird they'd come out with a regular one..

Wonder how much they run for...

In the Sears Wishbook catalog, Password is $15 CDN.  I'm guessing it'd likely run around the same price in the U.S.

PYL is likely the same price.

I'm pretty amazed the Password game, like its board game counterpart, uses the 1971-1974 ABC Password logo rather than some other version's, including the current Million Dollar Password.

That Press Your Luck one looks really sweet... I wonder if they included the old light patterns, so I could spend hours hitting the same squares over and over again (probably not).

I got the Press your luck game from Amazon yesterday... the picture on Amazon looks MUCH nicer then the actual game... I have no clue why they went the route they did.. I haven't tried the game yet, but from what I can tell, an arrow bounces up and down between the top and bottom row etc.. It may be better then what I expect once I open it, but just from the outside look, it's a dissapointment.. Once I play it I'll throw a review up...

i bought the PYL game from Amazon as well, after playing it a few times this is what i have to say:

the game itself is a lot smaller than it looks on the site.  i tuned in expecting it to be a full LCD screen with the 18 squares arranged in a rectangle like the old days, hear full stereo music and hear good SFX from the show.  i also expected easy questions and lots of spins each round

instead, i opened the box to find two rows of nine squares, over an LED screen similar to a TI-83 calculator.  the music was less than MIDI-quality and it's just one musical phrase repeated.  the sound effect is basically the first half of the 1986 board loop.  the "spins" are just the arrow bouncing from one square to the next.  the squares don't change values like they did on the original board

and as for the questions, i have yet to exceed 4 spins in one question round.  and oh by the way, you're also playing against the house, there are no computer opponents to play with

i give it a 1/5...fun for a few minutes but not a big engagement over time

I got my PYL game today and I will say first off I was able to get 10 spins in one question round it is just a matter of knowing the answers, and I will say that it is nothing like the picture that was on Amazon, but is still fun I like the inflated prize amounts you can win.

Hobbit, when you say inflated prize amounts, do the values change for the squares? I mean I know the squares themselves don't change, but lets say the first money box, is that value always the same or do the values change and the prizes etc? I havent opened yet because I was thinking of possibly returning it, just real let down from the picture I saw online to what it is.. but for $14.99 I might just keep it..
