Which Super Mario game do you like the best?

I like Super Mario World the best because of the cape, Yoshi, and 90 plus levels.

I like the original Super Mario Bros. on NES, the first game I ever played.

I'd say Super Mario World, with SMB3 a very close second.

SMW was really cool, and almost too complicated.  I'll vote for SMB3 just ahead of it;  the hammer suit was great, the homage to the original Mario Brothers game was really cool, and it wasn't extra complicated.  Plus, it's debut happened in the movie The Wizard.

I enjoy playing the classic Super Mario Bros. games.  The games that I have played were Super Mario Bros. (NES), Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES), Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES), NES Open Tournament Golf (featuring Mario, Luigi, and Princesses Toadstool and Daisy) (NES), Super Mario World (SNES), Super Mario RPG (SNES), Super Mario Kart (SNES) and Mario Kart 64[/b] (Nintendo 64).  I missed playing those games very much.  But my choice would be Super Mario Bros. 3.
This may be off-topic, but I have to bring this up.  A few of the games became chosen for their television series.  The Supr Mario Bros. Super Show (1989) features characters from Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2.  Super Mario Bros. 3 has its own adventure series on NBC in 1990.  And Super Mario World has its own series on the same network the following year.  My choice would be The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, but I wish that the Super Mario Bros. would come back to television.
If I can afford getting the NES or SNES, I could also try getting as many Super Mario Bros. games as possible, especially Super Mario Bros. 3.  Th-th-th-that's all Folks!

The first Super Mario Bros. was definetly the best of the Super Mario Bros. and World games.  You can't beat the classic that you can sit down and beat in just a short amount of time, or take your time and play the game out fully and win.  Super Mario Bros. 3 might rank a close second.  It's been ages since I've played it.

Super Mario World is hardly complicated.  It's easily the easiest of all the Super Mario Bros. games.  The first levels were so easy that by the time you reach Vanilla Lake, you've stockpiled dozens of lives...without even trying.

My favorite:  Super Mario Bros. 3!  In fact, I can recall the first time my dad actually beat it; it was in 1991, back when "Price" had its green carpets and borders.
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

I would always play SMB3 with my dad when I was little. Back then, all I did was run off the edge. When it came out for GBA, I ended up being the first in my family to beat Bowser.

Complicated doesn't equal hard, it just means there's a lot going on to keep track of.  SMW is complicated in terms of all the things going on--levels with two ways out, the Star Roads, the different switch blocks, the different berries Yoshi can eat, what each different colored Yoshi can do.  I do agree with your point that if you're trying to beat the game, SMW is easier than SMB3.

What...no love for The Lost Levels?

Super Mario 64 for me.  It's just a lot of fun. Super Mario World 2:  Yoshi's Island is my second favorite, with Super Mario RPG coming in third.

And I am definitely looking forward to Yoshi's Island 2 coming out soon for the DS.
