MYM: Yay Peanut Gallery coming through for her.

Home Game: Seems a bit too much like the NBC phone games for Deal or No Deal and 1 v.s. 100 in it's set up, in my opinion.

Shopping Spree: She was smarter than me, I would have avoided the go-kart.

Pathfinder: Ouch. Not a good way to go for a game like that. But I probably would have been dead wrong with the price anyway, so who knows.

Flip Flop: Me and the majority of the chat would have just flopped, so we probably all failed.

Any Number: This probably shouldn't have been lost so quickly, at least in my opinion, once he got the 16 anyway.

PaN: The losing streak is over! And on a random note, since my TPIR history fails me: Is the first number that common for the one that has to be picked? I thought they'd make it harder.

Showcases: Our first DSW of the year! Get the clangers and the whoopers.
Yeah...let's make this current shall we?

I have noticed the paltry percentage, Joe, and today we were close to breaking it, but toss-up SPs not going her way, France more than expected, and tough A# made it hard to do such.

In better news, hooray! A strong :dsw: !

Today's show was actually pretty good. That is compared to last week's shows.

Hey, no grocery product game today. Now there is really no reason why they cannot do this more often.

Flip Flop was extremely funny today. Very reminiscent of the Barker Era when games and props wouldn't always work.

Speaking of Flip Flop, I really wish they would jazz the line-ups a little bit. Flip Flop, Pick A Number, and Make Your Move have been on a lot recently. I know they need quickie games when they play longer games, but I'd rather have seen Freeze Frame instead of Pick A Number. But, Pick A Number has been getting a lot of airplay for just being the beginning of the season. We usually have to wait till almost Thanksgiving or Christmas to see this one pop up.

Today's showcases actually had a theme and the prizes really fit together. That's a shocker!! I totally agree that Rich should not repeat the prizes just before he says "this showcase can be yours if the Price is Right." It just seems very redundant.

Drew really botched the excitement build up for Any Number. He knows what games are being played, so I don't know why he couldn't intro the Any Number descriptions a little better.

This was a pretty good show, and while Drew still did some things I wasn't crazy about, there were also a lot of moments where I noticed him not doing goofy things.  I was impressed with how calm and composed he remained throughout Pathfinder -- he didn't try to force humor and excitement, instead waiting for things to happen naturally like Bob would have.

And what a cool lineup!  Make Your Move and Shopping Spree was a really neat way to start the show.  I love how Roger was willing to start with two quickies like that once in a while -- it made for a neat change of pace.  The total lack of a grocery item game was also surprising, and it makes me wonder if Flip Flop or Pick-a-Number could have been a substitution for something.

And yay!  A double showcase win!  And Drew was actually excited about it!  The new graphic's kinda neat, too.

Still don't like the goofy showcase copy.  Still don't like the music at the start of the Showcase, either -- it seems totally unnecessary.  Also don't like that WTAJ has cut out of Act 4 early four days in a row, but obviously, the show has no control over that.

The whole deal with Flip Flop almost breaking was awesome.  It was one of the things we always used to get excited about around here because we knew Bob would have fun with it...and so did Drew today!  That was one of his best moments in a while.

Speaking of Flip Flop, I really wish they would jazz the line-ups a little bit. Flip Flop, Pick A Number, and Make Your Move have been on a lot recently.

Please remember, though, that they've skipped ten episodes.

True, Steve. Even though they skipped over 10 shows, I don't remember last when Pick A Number showed up twice within 10 episodes. We're lucky if we see the game 5 times a season.

I don't think that will be a problem.  As one person stated months back, less time=more quick games played, such as Pick-a-Number.  Last year, we saw it played 12 times, the first time since Season 25 in which it was played more than 10 times.

We're lucky if we see the game 5 times a season.

Actually, PAN showed up 12 times last season, an increase over 7 times the season before.  The last time it was played less then 5 times in a season was Season 30.

On another note, it was played a whopping 49 times during Seasons 21 and 22.

EDIT: Goldy beat me to it, but I left my post anyway.

Finally, we get to see that :dsw:, and I like the new More or Less graphic that's there now. Hopefully, this will be a big turning point, as far as gameplay is concerned.

MYMove:  That was one of the easiest MYM setups I've seen in a while.  It should not have taken anybody that long to get that price.

Spree:  Yay!  Starcrossed! :P Pretty easy setup... though I was surprised at how cheap the go-kart was.

Pathy:  Yay!  Pathfinder! :P It's been a while since Pathy has been played for a cheapo car.

Commerical:  Whoa!  That's new!  Call in with a bid on a prize and you could win at home.

Flippy:  Blooper! :-D  Too bad it ended in a loss, but it sure was fun to watch.

PA#:  OK, who saw this one coming today?  There wasn't a single person who wasn't thinking Hi-Lo, PAP, or Check-Out.

SC Intro:  Whoa... audience shot and MDS music going into the Showcase segment!

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$16,907
Car--$21,107

Result:  Nice!  First stage :dsw: of the season!

Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

I cannot understand why almost the entire audience was booing Raegan for picking the golf equipment over the movie projector.  It's depressing to think that most of the audience would have lost that very easy setup.

You know, in general, the best double showcase wins are the ones where the contestant won a car from the other person's showcase.

The whole thing with Flip Flop and the 19 was funny.  I was kinda' hoping that when Brenda flopped that panel, that the 19 had already fallen though the other side of the board.  Ah well.

I hope to see more GP-less shows in the future.  Not that I don't like them, but I don't really like seeing them forcefully squeezed into every episode at the expense of the always more poorly rotated SP games.

Who set up today's Pathfinder board?  It was great to see that there were no "conflicts" anywhere on the board!

Having a bunch of kitchen appliances, followed by a living room group in a the showcase felt really wrong.  The flow was really off.  For that matter, the transition to the boat was bad.

What do you mean by "conflicts" on the Pathfinder board?
