One-Bid #1:  That was neat having Rich model a prize for a change!
Pushover:  Good job! :-)
Stack The Deck:  Amy had good picks for her free numbers, but why did she pick 9 for the last number!? ???  It was clear to me that the audience was trying to tell her 5 for the last number!
Secret X:  What a great win! :-D
Check Game:  Rats! :-(  It would've been a win if the range was still $5,000 - $6,000.
That's Too Much:  Actually had a winner - wow! :-o
One Wrong Price:  Too bad! :-(
Showcases:  That Saturn Sky sure looked neat! :-)  Too bad it wasn't won.

Pretty good show overall, IMHO.

Wow. Finally! A decent line-up. I guess when Adam want's em decent, he really can make them roar. What a great job.

The funny thing is, Drew isn't where my complaints are today. In fact, once again, Drew was on top of his game, but in fact my complaints are with Rich. While it was nice to see him modeling the first item up for bid (kind of took us back to the old days when Rod would do that), he did an absolutely abysmal job doing so. Sticking out your tongue and putting your thumb up? Oh my god. This isn't high school, Rich! I don't expect you to be Rod, but sheesh!

Other than that, I've got to say--I wanted to scream when Amy picked that 9 as the last number in the G6. That 5 screamed to be picked, especially since I knew 0 wasn't the last number (I knew it was  $20,000 as soon as the 3 was placed considering G6's aren't the most expensive cars on the market). Oh what a frustrating loss!

I must say, Secret X and Check Game in the same show--how can you go wrong? And $1000 check? Oh dear. We used to have trouble with people going over--now they're going under! :-P. And Drew's shout out to Fingers during Secret X just made the Price is Right fan inside of me beam with delight!

Wow--wheel was on FIRE today!

I've got to say the showcase writing is top notch once again, and the racing themed showcase rocked my world! I can't help but wonder, though, if from the way they're presented (very to the point), some of these were meant to be Drewcases but have had the silly antics removed. Just a thought and a wonder. Regardless, the showcases are back to the basics and awesome. The only thing is BOTH were LOADED and I was thinking $40,000 on the first showcase. I about wet myself when Drew announced it was just south of $50,000. Eek! I also said $19,000 on the second showcase but again never in my wildest dreams expected to find it to be just south of $30,000! Double eek!

I can't wait for the tapedates to catch up. These shows were incredible and proves I may have been wrong when I called Drew fake after the showcase blunder. Keep it up, guys. THIS is what Price ought to be!

Much better lineup today at least.

+OB1: Another + for Rich on camera.
+Pushy: A lot of things could have worked there. :O
-Stacky: :( Was no one in the Peanut Gallery going with 5??
+X: El luck strikes again!
+SD1: I MUST DIG x2!!
-Checky: If it was still 5-6k, they don't offer that prize, so either way, that's a big fail there.
+Hardy?: People are starting to figure this out? Really? :D
-OWP: They all looked good, really. :/
+SD2: Up to a triple dig.
+SCs: Sky FTW! I knew he garfed it right away; especially with a convertible, the Sky should have been at least 35k.

B+

EDIT: C8 - SC2 was just shy of 25k, not 30k.

Today's show was pretty good. Probably the better lineups of the week.

The only gripe I have with today's show was the first showcase. It was good and well written, but I think they should have offered a Corvette instead of the Saturn Sky. Not that the Sky isn't a nice car, it just seemed to fit in with the racing in Vegas to offer a Corvette at the end.

Today's lineup was probably the best of this week, excluding yesterday's rerun.

One-Bid #1-YAY for Rich modeling the watch!  Perfect way to involve Rich in the show.  Good lord, I didn't know Rolexes were that expensive!

Pushover-Yay, no car/cash game!  It's a good thing Timothy didn't listen to his wife because he won.

Stack the Deck-The 2nd set of GPs was really tough.  Last time I saw Coricidin on the show, it was $5.99, so I thought for sure Amy had that one.  Even though 9 was a good choice for the last number, I had a sneaky suspicion it was going to be a 5.

Secret X-A robot tissue box, and an office aquarium...possibly the oddest prizes I've ever seen.  Great win, and Drew even gives a nod to Fingers for creating the game.

Check Game-I really wish Drew would let the contestant finish the check.  Julie really wanted to finish it, but Drew flat-out stopped her from doing it.  That annoyed me a bit.  I knew that was WAY too low of an amount for the check.

That's Too Much-The price was really early again.  Great win by Rick, though.

1 Wrong Price-That guitar may have looked wrong, but I knew the wine cabinet was wrong.  The guitar and the motorcycle just looked right with the -99 prices.

Showcases-I would've liked to have seen Showcase #1 on the Christmas Eve show rather than this one, but it was fine nevertheless.

Great week of shows, and I hope they continue doing them like these.  We'll have to wait a while to find out, though.

Best lineup we've had in a spell, really.  Nice to see they can still work around the time constraints to make a lineup feel longer than it actually is.

You know, is the "cash or car game first" rule always supposed to happen, or is it just a "most of the time" sort of thing?  I hope these days with an ordinary ol' game starting off the show keep coming occasionally.

Why was the Secret "X" board pushed so far back today?  Looked more like an oddly-staged big door game than one played in the middle of the stage today.  Considering they've been doing the same thing with Swap Meet, I worry that they're indending to play more and more games further back for no apparent reason.

The car pricing part of Stack the Deck seemed easier than Roger would've ever made it, with the price being "obvious" after only two free picks.  Has there ever been a car price in this game where the price was "obvious" without needing a third free number?  I mean, I know I've complained about the game being too hard before, but it felt a little too easy today, especially since it was played for a more expensive car than usual.

Then again, it was lost....

I'd have lost Check Game today.  However, I would have won if the old $5000 to $6000 range were used, and I'd bet Julie also would've still won with that old range.  Granted, she could've written in a different amount if the old range were still in use, but really, how much lower than $1000 can she go?

I was a bit disappointed with today's show when Wednesday's was so fantastic.  Drew didn't do as good of a job today as he did Wednesday, in my opinion; and there were other little annoyances that brought down this show quite a bit.

For starters, Drew's entrance:  I was quite disappointed to see another stupid gag entrance when we'd finally gotten the normal entrances back.  I really hope that was the last of the gag entrances.

That was pretty nifty to see Rich modeling the watch for the first one bid.  There's the right way to be including him with prizes.

If there is a place where I can praise Drew today is yet again with the Showcase Showdowns.  They've become so much more interesting since he gave up on the "wanna say hi to anyone" line for every single spinner.

Speaking of the Showcase Showdowns, the logo was gone on the bumper for the first closed captioning plug again.

However, I really wish Drew would stop preventing contestants from finishing the cheques in Check Game.  If they're never allowed to finish the cheque anymore, why bother having a space to write the amount in words?

Rick annoyed me with his "that's the one" in That's too Much! and calling the dollar "one hundred" during the Showcase Showdown.  I would rather have seen Drew chide him for not saying that's too much instead of laugh like he did.  It's the kind of charm of Bob with That's too Much! that I really miss.

Speaking of That's too Much!, I was quite surprised it was won for having yet another difficult setup.

I would like it if the staff took note of today's second Showcase.  It was absolutley perfect.  The proper introduction of a narrative, logical segues, and the proper conclusion without a dumb prize recap.  That was very nice to see.

5. Never do anything on the show that would embarrass a parent with a kid watching.

You're right, but then maybe that might make them realise just how silly it is that Drew encourages contestants not to finish writing the cheque.

Hey, nearly all the crappy changes were abandoned this week of tapings.  Change for the good is apparently possible.

I agree. Last night, I was watching a December 2001 episode where That's Too Much was played, and Bob actually said, "This game just doesn't work at all if the contestant doesn't put some feeling into saying "That's Too Much!"

One-Bid #1:  That was so cool, seeing Rich model one of the one-bid prizes.  A nice throwback to the days when Rod Roddy occasionally modeled a one-bid prize.  I knew it was a Rolex, but I sure didn't expect that watch to be worth $4,200.  Undoubtedly, this has to be the most expensive one-bid ever offered on a non-special daytime show.

Pushy:  That was a hard setup.  Any of the six prices in the line looked possible.

Stacky:  I don't know how the hell that was lost today.  $20,xx5 seemed like a gimme, so anybody who took the third and fourth digits for free should have won easily.  That figures:  the hard Pushy setup produces a win, while the cupcake Stacky setup produces a loss.

Secret:  The board looked unusual when staged so close to Door #2.  With the outdoor furniture/outdoor TV package being worth almost $13,000, I thought for sure that Kathy would stick the X on the bottom.  Shows what I know...

SCSD #1:  Nice seeing two $1,000 winners.  But it was really painful to see Amy spin the wheel one space too soft and Timothy spin the wheel one space too hard for bonus money.

Checky:  What was Julie thinking, writing that check for only $1,000.  Did she seriously think that catamaran was more than $6,000?  The weird thing is that she would've won under this game's previous rules.

TTM:  New nicknames for this game:  "That's the One!" and "That's Not the Name of This Game!"  I lost today.  I actually thought the second price was too much.

Showcases:  Another pair of sexed-up showcases... but unlike on Wednesday, I managed to garf both of these suckers.

My showcase bids:
Convertible--$38,107
Room/spa--$19,007
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Even though I hate TTM, I enjoyed the lineup today. Nice to see Stack and Check again.

Pushy: No car or cash game first! A lot of prices could have been right, but 7845 just looked better than the others.
Stack: Really, the last number could have been 5, 9, or even a 6. She really needed to get her third pick.
Check: THAT'S TOO LOW! Although that catamaran was a little higher than I anticipated.
OWP: I would have won there. I have seen guitars be 999 before and the bike just looked like a very reasonable price.

Showcases: HOLY GRECOIDS BATMAN!
My bids: FAIL.
Retired Games that should be brought back:
Barker's Bargain Bar, Buy or Sell, Superball!, Super Saver, Split Decision, Give or Keep, Hurdles, Penny Ante, Walk of Fame
