I'd be willing to bet that this is a little more than a 2 minute book plug. They aren't going to rush Bob on stage and then back off again. I think the crew is going to be very welcoming and respectful to Bob and not rush him through it. He's the reason they're there working at that show today (of course with the help of many others as well).

I'm inclined to agree that Barker will get a sufficient amount of chat time with Drew (and a long, loud standing ovation), but to make up for it you can almost guarantee the game selection will favor quickies a bit.

Probably will be the case.  And no matter what happens in the studio vis a vis length of ovations, etc., there is still that pesky time limit, so we all know what we see on air also may be edited (how heavily remains to be seen).

I would watch a show with Double Price, Flip Flop, Coming or Going, Switch?, Pick-a-Number & Most Expensive to see Bob on the show.

I just found out that the episode will air on March 2, 2009.
I'm not sure if the episode will really air that day, since I saw that on Wikipedia.

Please at least make some effort to read the other posts before posting yourself. Not doing so throws off the discussion and causes people to simply discount any future posts you might make. This information has been posted here for a few days now.

Well, technically, no! The OP of the other "Barker book" thread did!

But PF14 is right, price_37, it's already mentionned that the tape date is March 2nd.

If we presume the segment will be edited, maybe they can put the entire unedited segment on their website as a bonus.

Fun fact: Evelyn Wong, the 5th person to be called on the first show (9/4/72), was actually the very first contestant to directly be called to come on down!  The original first four (Sandy Flornor, Paul Levine, Connie Donnel, Myra Carter) were individually told to stand up, and then, as a group, were invited to come on down.
