I feel today's show had too much going on.  I don't have a problem with Rain.  They actually sounded fine, but I don't understand why they must have a band in playing throughout the show.  It really throws the rhythm off.

Also, George Gray is becoming too much--and not in a good way.  The constant shots of him reacting to everything on the show have gotten old fast.  If he could sit there and look like a normal human being, it would be a different story.  Instead, it's ridiculous reactions, facial gestures, modeling items in a goofy way.  Not every minute of the show requires the on-air talent to create humor where there isn't any (and I don't mean only George).

Great playing of Race Game today!  She knew what she was doing.  Tough luck on Any Number.

-One Wrong Price was nice. I was afraid the television was evil, glad it wasn't.

That worried me too!

Too bad about Side-by-Side.  I really wish they would do a close-up shot of the display during the price reveal--it would look so much better!  It would also be easier to see since it's not the clearest display.

Rain seems to be a very good group of Beatles imitators.  Unfortunately, when I watch The Price Is Right, I don't want to see a Beatles concert; I want to see The Price Is Right.  What under most circumstances would likely have been some very enjoyable music ended up being just plain annoying.  Act 1 was particularly bad -- having the band play all the way through the Item up for Bids was terribly, terribly distracting.

It didn't help, either, that because of the long music segments, parts of the show seemed to be edited to shreds.  Any Number was particularly bad, speeding by like a bullet, and part of Eli's second spin was edited out, too.

I will give the staff props for playing Side by Side at Door #3, though.  That was pretty cool.

There is not a chance in hell anyone was going to win Hi Lo.

Most Expensive on the S35 opener was really easy. Jeeps are fancier than a PT Cruiser and a Malibu.

I will reaffirm that Most Expensive was supposed to be lost.  This comes from Roger himself.

and oh yeah...RACE GAME!   :-)  Weird how it was the multi-prizer of choice in Season 37, and now that honor belongs to Danger Price.

They're constantly overbudget, and Danger Price is hard.

Any Number (5) - 3:51            >>Played very quickly by a guy who knew what he was doing and didn't spend a lot of time looking to the audience.

There was clearly a significant amount of footage edited out of Any Number.

@Ton80: OK, I guess there's some exaggeration / skewing in that direction today too, but still, <20 minutes of gameplay is inexcusable, edited or otherwise.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Yes, that's exactly my point. I also noticed some edits in Hi Lo - that game usually takes over 5 minutes but it took under 4 today and there were some cuts while he was making his decisions, plus Drew purposely rushed the end reveal. So what we've learned today is that the show can edit down about anything it wants to squeeze 6 minutes of Beatles stuff in. Whoopy ding. It just feels unnatural and even shortchanges the contestant a bit when they do that.

Side by Side played first and at Door #3... a very nice change.

Hi-Lo for a car!  Whoa, where did that come from?!  You know, I've been so used to either Card Game or Temptation getting played when the car is behind Door #2 that I completely forgot that Rain was behind Door #3 for the entire show and therefore all cars had to be behind Door #2 regardless of the PG.  For this game being played for a car, the setup was actually quite easy.

It's the return of our beloved ass blow-up cart cotton candy cart!  It looks like September 29, 2009, was the last time it appeared on the show... and it went up $12 since then.

My showcase bids:
MINI--$29,107
Porsche--$55,507
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Rain? Pfft! Everybody knows the ultimate, Beatle approved tribute band is Branson's own "Liverpool Legends". There is no substitute.

Admittedly, I was working while watching the show, so I didn't notice the editing.  I just thought he was a speedy player!

And if I recall, George Harrison's sister had chosen the members of Liverpool Legends.  I live in Missouri and saw them perform in concert in Branson about three years ago.  They were phenomenal!

+10!  Seriously Mike, stop trying to make Price into something that it was never intended to be, a Variety Show.  This is not American Idol with songs and music.  It is about contestants and winning prizes on the Price is Right!  Musical guests are distracting, and do nothing to help the show.
