Ashley $1,108 95 STAY 95
Carol Ann $1,625 30 25 55
Joshua $8,157 95 N/A 95

Tiebreaker...

Contestant Winnings Spin Result
Ashley $1,108 70 *SHOWCASE*
Joshua $8,157 40

Joshua was trying to get the record for most number of turns in a spin. I'm not the authority on such a mundane statistic, but I'm fairly certain he did NOT get it. He couldn't get three revolutions on either spin. I'm fairly certain among those beating him were Lucky $even Taylor from Season 37.

Fourth IUFB: 3pr designer crap shoes (Joe's Jeans; ARP: $705) (Amber)

Jerid Rochelle DANTE Sandra WINNER
$700 $1

*$5,494*

The star is because his third pull required two pulls to get his number right. He ended up right where he began at the end. A little more intuition and he could've figured out after the first change at least one of the right prices.

Fifth IUFB: Barbecue smoker (Bradley Digital Smoker; ARP: $628) (Rachel)

CAROLYNÉ Rochelle Dante Sandra WINNER
$1999 $650 $700 $1 SANDRA

Sandra is playing Plinko! (Manuela and Amber)

Rochelle learned the hard way what happens when you screw up a one-bid, like her stupid dollar bid on the designer crap shoes: you get stuck in the middle and facing the mugshot machine.

Sixth IUFB: Entryway cabinet (Howard Miller/Ty Pennington; ARP: $1,893) (Manuela)

Carolyné Rochelle Dante CHERYL WINNER
$650 $550 $801 $800 DANTE

Rochelle heads over to get her mugshot taken, and Dante is playing Any Number for a 2012 Scion xB. (2.4l engine, 4AT, CFM, cargo cover) (Amber)

Numbers chosen: 6, 5, 3, 7, 4, 8, 2, 9

Scion xB 1 8 4   3

Dante $2,622 40 20 *SHOWCASE*

I'm fairly sure Jerid beat Joshua's spins.

Mike certainly had his way today - there were a number of traps that he set up that contestants fell for.  The Pass the Buck GPs were tricky, and despite being only 32", most people don't think a TV is sub-$1000.

We had trips all over the pricing spectrum today...first two cheapies in 1RP, then two SUPER-sexed-up ones in the showcases.  No wonder Mike loves them so much!  :-o

Lineup:

1 Right Price: L

Flip Flop: W

Pass the Buck: L ($1000)

Race Game: L (2 prizes)

Plinko: L ($2500)

Any Number: L

This was written all over Mike Richards today. Horrible show today. As Sweeper said, almost all games were traps.

The showcases were definelty sexed-up. SC1: A Trip to Boston and then a Sunsomething Yacht, totaling over 38k. SC2: Scuba Gear, A Trip to the Bahamas, and a Nissian Versa all worth 35k.

Race Game was rather difficult... it was probably only going to be won off of lucky guesses.

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY: Dante
SHOW GRADE: 2

It was a Com-Pac Sun Cat, which I don't believe has been on the show before. Here is the link to the pricing.  If this is the correct boat, then Boston was 18k...ridiculous.

I don't think Race was impossible, but it was probably favoring a loss as long as the TV was not recognized. He did repeat his first guess with his last.

In general though, again Mike seemed to set up for WWLLLL, which really does not make sense to me. (Plinko could have done better, though.)
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Eh, at least in the last four games, the contestants walked away with something more than lunch money, Race Game's contestant in particular winning almost $5,500 in stuff, even with having to deal with that cheap TV.

(Random stuff: Today's Plinko contestant dropped chips into: Slot 8 (landed in right $500), Slot 5 (landed in left $1000) and Slot 6 (landed in right $1000). Slots are counted from left to right, with 9 slots total and 5 being the middle slot right above the $10000.)

Slotting idea:
1 Right Price
Plinko
Any Number
Pass the Buck
Flip Flop
Race Game

The Pass the Buck contestant should've at least gotten another pick.

And god, they had to put out two of the most ugliest cars today. Bleh.

The only games setup for wins today was 1 right price and flip flop. the other 4 were evil.

Blahh. Mike was all over this one (including, unusually, Race Game as others have noted) and it just made this one into kind of a snoozer (a semi-Stinko didn't help). Contestant quality was back to being more average today too after yesterday's greatness. Nice to see every contestant who made it on stage walk away with something extra except for ORP, though.

Pass The Buck falls REALLY flat with just one pick, Mike - you probably should at least allow two.

Timings:
One Right Price (3.5) - 3:10
Flip Flop (3.5) - 3:04
Pass The Buck (5.5) - 4:53
Race Game (5) - 4:26
Plinko (5.5) - 4:45
Any Number (5) - 4:48
Total (28): 24:06

1 Right Price: I had an off feeling when Rachel was about to reveal the right price of the Newport Beach trip. I was right.

Flip Flop: My original guess would have been 6978, but I cannot do that. I would have tried to Flop first, but later changed it to at least Flipping. It's even confusing me as I type and would have lost the game anyway.

Pass the Buck: That Bruce's can looks so small. It sounded like the Peanut Gallery was saying 2, and I would have agreed with them. If I had another choice (probably because I would have passed the buck to the jam), I would truthfully pick 1. In other words, I would have tried the left side of the board (avoided 3 and 6).

Race Game: I knew something was not right by the third and fourth tries. I also had this prediction that Jarid would end up with only one right.

Plinko: I had this brief prediction of disaster just from the wrong choice of the canteen. Wasn't that bad with that amount.

Any Number: It still gets me when the contestant blames the Peanut Gallery for their loss instead of playing the game themselves. I still do not understand why Dante was seriously lowballing the Scion. It was just terrible playing. I would not have been surprised if he exactaed the DPB. (He almost did)

That second half as pretty good in terms of just the games, but then that could be another slotting issue.

What a way to start the show... two California trips, one of them (Newport Beach) being L.A. metro. :headbang:

Looks like Evil therealcu2010 Mike went back to putting the car at #1 in Pass the Buck.

It also looks like the Race Game jukebox operator fell asleep again.  At least this time, he or she didn't put up the wrong number and cause another technical win.

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$25,107
Car--$28,107

Did I miss something in both of those showcases?  How on earth were both of those showcases over $35,000?
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".
