Another day, another nothing. Although the car games were set up pretty fairly, nothing doing at all.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

This, what you said, was my impression, too. Depending on how contestants are, how Drew is, and many other factors, you could have all six pricing games won and maybe even a Double Showcase Winner, and the show could, in general, be "...another nothing".
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Nice wins on One Wrong Price & 2 For The Price Of 1! :-)  IMO, the aspirin on Check Out was evil.

An "ehhhh" show overall, IMHO.

I'm surprised that Cameron won One Wrong Price.  I thought for sure that TV would be a cheapo.

I thought that Check-Out would be decided by the notorious Bayer aspirin.  Once again, a contestant underprices the $10.34 bottle by several dollars.  If they were using the $6.00 bottle... well, Robin still would've been a few cents too low because she also lowballed the toothpaste and donuts by quite a bit.

How many times do I have to say this:  Stop playing Pick-a-Number for random furniture!

Three-trip showcase (one being L.A.) versus two-prize showcase... time to go off the board for "Fast Forward This Crap".

My showcase bids:
Tripcase--$23,107
Car--$31,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Average show is average. Average can be refreshing though after all the gimmick shows and guests we've had lately - it was nice to have a completely normal feeling show with a good lineup. It's a shame it fell as flat as the rest.

The showcases are so broken, though. Putting "Los Angeles" on a plasma and trying to advertise it as a trip just feels wrong. And yet ANOTHER 2-prize showcase? 3 in 2 days? Where are all the prizes that AREN'T vehicles or trips? Perhaps if more of these were in the showcase, you wouldn't be overbudget!

Well, Arpi might not have won Money Game, but she did get as much money off that board as she could have. By that same token, going for all the high numbers and ignoring the low one got her.

Something I noticed during One Wrong Price; as usual, it showed footage from "past" shows (i.e. shows taped earlier); however, there was footage of Shell Game on the HDTV... with a contestant that we have not seen before. And I think the rest of that footage was equally spoiler-tastic. Worth noting, both for FPG purposes and for wondering if the producers keep tapedates in mind when they choose footage to display on TVs (answer: they obviously don't).

Check-Out was hard, and 2 for the Price of 1 was easy. Pathfinder SPs were easy (not sure why he missed one of them), and he should have gotten off the first digit faster than he did at least.

Whoever designs the showcases needs to learn the difference between Avery Fisher Hall (where the New York Philharmonic's concert was going to take place) and the Metropolitan Opera House (which was shown on the screen).

I'm getting really, reeeeeeeally tired of The Amazing Gyrating Jib Camera.  I have no idea why Dimich seems to think waving that thing around as much as possible in certain games is a good idea, but it's freakin' not.

Was anyone else disappointed that Rena didn't get to play Safe Crackers or Master Key? :)

I was thinking the same thing. It's amazing that sometimes, by sheer coincidence, what a contestant does for a living corresponds with the game they're playing. And it is cool when that does happen.

If I remember right, wasn't there, one time, a grocery clerk playing Check-Out, and won it? Although there have probably been a lot of those.
