5-digit Squeeze Play:  Nice win! :-)
Now Or Then:  Nice comeback! :-)  It sure isn't often that someone uses all 6 items in this game & IMO, it's pretty neat when it happens.
Switcheroo:  What a heartbreaker!

Definitely better than yesterday's show, IMHO.

Jamie must have been the contestant mentioned in this thread who did well for herself; indeed, winning a car and a showcase (with a car) is quite the feat!

Great Now... or Then playing, too! It's always fun to see contestants run the board there, as well as see the 4-Now-2-Then rule in action.

As for the contestants who maybe shouldn't have listened to their friends...

Shopping Spree: I knew that refrigerator was bad; it looked like a total cheapie, not one of those stainless steel or Elmira Stove Works ones.

1 Right Price: Eh, I thought the waterproof TV was going to be more expensive than that. Also, totally cheap prize package.

Switcheroo: I wish Drew would at least emphasize that you don't have to change the car price on the second turn... though things were looking quite grim for Wendy already. Yeah, leaving the 9 in the duster is obviously wrong, and nothing else quite looks $90 (the dust cleaner was pretty small), and no one thinks the knife sharpener is more than $50, but still, if you really think the 3 belongs in the car, why change it? Why not place the 9 in some other dummy place or something? Ah well.

OB6: Yes, steam showers are nice, and some of them get really nice... but if you think you need to pay $12,000 for one... I'm sure Bob Barker has just the deal for you. I hear he has a steam shower he's willing to sell you, and he's only doing it because it's you, but he'll sell it to you for only $10,000 even!

Safe Crackers: Another annoying $90-difference toss-up.

When I saw Squeeze Play for a car, I thought for sure it would end up being a 1/4 toss-up.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that won!  Now or Then was also a great win, and I see that the 4/2 rule is still intact.

Switcheroo was really the only game that was lost due to poor playing.  The other losses were all tough decisions that could have gone either way.  But the Squeeze Play win makes up for the bad luck we got elsewhere.

My Showcase Bids:
Car: $28,812 :wsd:
Trip: $20,408 ($1,999)

Go away, Daniel Goddard!

Yes, Drew.  I wish somebody would blame Daniel.

I'm surprised that nobody else has mentioned this, but when was the last time Now or Then used a date from the 1980s?

Well... that's the downside to having only the car correct on the first try in Switcheroo.  We've seen it many times.  Unless the contestant is absolutely 100% sure of that car price, they end up changing it and losing.  The thing about Wendy, though:  She seemed totally clueless about the game, moreso than most of the Switcheroo contestants we've seen this season.  Very strange, considering that she exactaed her One-Bid.

My showcase bids:
Car--$30,107
Galapagos--$20,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

There should ALWAYS be an option to stop on the first choices of prices for Switcheroo's prizes, no matter what.  That second turn is ALWAYS optional, and Drew's often melancholy explanations might lead inexperienced contestants to believe they have to have a second chance.

Hey Mike, if you are reading thi,s or anyone on production staff, you should explain to Drew that the second choice in Switcheroo is not required.
