"Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better." - Sydney J. Harris

“For the premiere of season 30, CBS wanted to do a special primetime show. However, they asked that we also add a gimmick or a twist to make it truly special. I came up with the suggestion of taking the show on the road for the first time in its history." - Roger Dobkowitz

More shows with almost all setups just left not too easy or too hard would be appreciated. Let the contestants produce their own moments (NoT) or screw things up (Roo).
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

This is the first time I've seen personally someone bid something over $10,000 on the IUFB - and the display actually showing it (today's, the lady's bid was $12,000, and it showed it on the display). Have the displays always been able to do that recently? I remember when Bob hosted, when people bid over $10,000, it wouldn't show anything on the display (I can't find any videos right now of it, but I remember watching it on YouTube).
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

SSP: Certainly not a bad way for Jaimie to give us the first PG win of the week!

SS: Jennel should've listened to the audience on the recliner for the last pick.

NoT: Nice comeback!

ORP: Usually on this show nowadays, TVs end in -95 or -99.

Switcheroo: IMHO, that was the easiest setup this season (but that's NOT saying much). Unfortunately, Wendy guessed the correct fourth digit in the Scion price one turn too early.

Safe: Not sure if Mike wanted a win here or not, because I thought $450 was slightly more obvious than $540.

Showcases: It's been a while, but Jaimie's a two-car winner! And just as I thought, the Chevy Colorado replaced the ATVs behind Door #2.

Better show than yesterday, at least.

Thankfully, today's show was a whole lot better, despite only two wins:

Squeeze Play was a obvious win, thanks to Jamie, who got herself a truck and won her showcase, too! Something was telling me that $18,475 was a reasonable price. And if Mike isn't gonna say it, I guess I will: Daniel Goddard is the new model on The Price Is Right! Well, more likely, the first male model on The Price Is Right................

Now or Then had a good comeback, because of Andrew...........He might have got the eggs and baby food wrong, but he redeemed himself with the dog food, the sauce, and the X-14!

Safe Crackers, Switcheroo (another wipeout), Shopping Spree, and ORP all failed, but today was a good change of pace after yesterday's train wreck...........

Sorry. Bean Stalker, Bicycle Song, Big Banana, The Cats, The Marimba and Motorcyle Theme Song Variants and Cue 56 in Season 40 is more than enough to make this show a small highlight this season.

Great win in Squeeze Play. Well done.

Now...or Then was awesome. Great to see a playing that went all the way around the board.

Switcheroo was played badly. Not only because of her guesses, but because of how she seemingly ignored the prices she placed on the SPs and didn't pay attention to the clock.

Can we please save the $100 differences in Safe Crackers for when it is played for a car? Geez.

Not a bad show at all. This is so far a pretty good low-win week.

Just to save this from getting longer....
Not to get off-track, but old music cues can't overcome a 3 wipeout day, it just can't. It would have felt better, of course, if they at least put the cues on a rare basis afterwards.
I said...small highlight. It was a terrible show, but that small highlight made it slightly tolerable in my eyes. Too bad it probably won't be rerun this summer.

"WHO GOT BIRDS?" - Snoop Dogg
Coming on Down since Season 20!
Season 13 & 14 CSS Champion

Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted, besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

Halloween will probably get rerun this summer anyway - they always rerun maximum specials, even if they're terrible shows.

This was certainly much better than yesterday. I agree with Wayo in that it was certainly refreshing to see nothing particularly be a forced loss or forced win today. Heck, Squeeze Play was actually a favorable 50-50 shot at a car, and Switcheroo was certainly easier than normal with the correct answer being the middle number. It was nice to see a 2-car clean house as well.

Switcheroo was just botched. Drew gave a record-terrible minimalist explanation of that game today, but it didn't matter at all because she wasn't winning anyway. Drew was right to prevent her from changing after the time stopped, and then he gave his usual automatic 2nd chance that has become standard for this game, and she went ahead and made her fatal change anyway. Of course if she had made that same change and there had been time left on the 1st try so she got 0 right, who knows what would have happened? At least it wasn't too much of a downer today because Roo was 5th and there were other good moments.

GREAT lineup today. This was a good usage of Squeeze for a car with getting to see Spree, Roo, and NOT all in the same show, and slotted well to boot.

Timings:
Squeeze Play (3.5) - 3:28
Shopping Spree (4.5) - 4:35
Now...or Then (5) - 4:55
One Right Price (3.5) - 3:14
Switcheroo (5.5) - 5:36
Safe Crackers (4.5) - 4:03
Total (26.5): 25:51

Although it was sorta cool to add Ted Lange (I would've picked Erik Estrada, but that's just me), I totally agree with you with the music cues, the wipeouts, overpriced candy on Grocery Game, etc. This season's Halloween show was worse than the last two ones from seasons 38 and 39............Forgive me for going off-track, too.
