Wow, you think maybe Mike took notice of this post http://www.golden-road.net/index.php/topic,19088.0.html for the second showcase? It was kind of clever.

I thought today's show was pretty enjoyable, despite some obvious downers.

And how many times are we going to see Plinko outside of PCH week? That's the second aired Plinko in four days, and there had been another one last week or the week before, also (can't remember exactly when).

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

If there was ever a "eliminate one GP from the show forever" opportunity, I think I'd have to go with the Alka-Seltzer - and it's been what, a month or so since its debut? That said, I think that was a fairly clear stop situation, lucky to get more than half of it back.

That Squeeze doesn't freakin' belong with 7995 Flip!! I'm getting so tired of this.

I think we're finally paying for Plinko's general "no easy ones" shift. OK yes, he should have had maybe two more - but when's the last time there was a $30 or more different on a ends with? It's plainly unacceptable this game has now accrued... 4 wipeouts this season? Is that right?

...

...

...Not only a competent and actually intriguing SC2 script, but the last line was also... a proper way to end the showcase???
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Let Em Roll Jeffrey had bad luck.
Flip Flop was easy Danger price wasn't nor squeeze play and plinko had another wipeout any number was totally winnable. Flip Flop win was the only highlight for today.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Another lackluster show. The second showcase was very clever though, and probably didn't take all that much effort to write either. I wish they thought that cleverly more often.

I really don't know what to do about all these Plinko $0s. Yes, the setups are harder, but easy ones are getting missed as well. I think unfortunately now more than ever the setups need to be all around easy, because contestants will miss SPs on their own anyway.

LER went pretty standard (beginning to hate that Alka-Seltzer) but it's been a while since someone got 0/5'ed in Any Number - that car price, disregarding that, was not that hard. Poor Josephine.

Timings:
Let 'em Roll (5.5) - 5:09
Flip Flop (3.5) - 3:15
Danger Price (4.5) - 4:23
Squeeze Play (3.5) - 3:40
Plinko (5.5) - 4:48
Any Number (5) - 5:08
Total (27.5): 26:23

I beginning to think that Drew is getting to be more challengable on doing hard things on contestants.  It's not easy winning over Drew!

Cheapo Alka-Seltzer and cheapo designer crap strike again.

Too many 6s in Squeeze Play.

*sigh*... another Plinko shutout.  The products weren't evil today.  Jermaine was just clueless on the prices.

RCPlanes must be thrilled that Flip Flop gave us the only win of the day.

My showcase bids:
Aussie--$23,107
Car--$32,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Drew did a good job working Jeffrey's niece into Let 'em Roll.

The second showcase today was pretty cool, although I think they went a little overboard with the ending.

And how many times are we going to see Plinko outside of PCH week? That's the second aired Plinko in four days, and there had been another one last week or the week before, also (can't remember exactly when).

I still think there was a lot of subbing going on on the PCH shows.  It's entirely possible that Plinko wasn't even supposed to be played that week.

That last line could have easily used Add 'Em Up, Finish Line, and Split Decision as well. Had it been #1, Give Or Keep could have snuck in.
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

I choose to think that they did use my narrative as the inspiration for the second showcase.  I did write a letter by mail to them with the story too and the taping date of today's show was a couple weeks after I had sent them the letter.  :-)

Nice win on Flip Flop.  Pretty bad other than that.

What a bummer on Plinko.  IMO, Jermaine should've had at least 3 chips (counting the free one).

Amber sure looked hot in that bikini in Showcase 2! :-)

Let 'em Roll was again set up for low rolls, this time featuring the Alka-Seltzer Allergy Pills of Doom.

Flip Flop was the only thing particularly easy.

Danger Price: Random accessories claim another victim.

Squeeze Play: That ARP shows that Mike is the devil.  :P

Plinko: Ack. Should he have gotten another chip? Maybe. Still, that juicer was undeniably and unnecessarily evil. And yes, the SPs need to be overall easy, because contestants miss enough nowadays randomly guessing the last digit when it is not -0 or -5, and not guessing it when it is.

Any Number: Tough break.

SC2 was the highlight of this show. I think we can think phildogg for that.  :P
