I have a concern with this show that I'll elaborate on at the end, but, first...
Cliff Hangers - pretty by the numbers, but, a win is a win.
Cover Up - no... just no. It was funny with those pictures of Drew on the last playing, but, those symbols ruined the joke. PLus, Drew didn't even know that % was a percent sign! Just put the phony numbers back. Painful loss, otherwise, though... he employed the Cover-Up-Strategy (whether inadvertently or not) and it looked pretty clear that is the last number would have been the 1. Too bad.
Flip Flop - excitable contestant, but, I have more to say about this at the end...
Race Game - what was going on with that reveal of the prizes? Where were the price stands during the prize copy? That was just weird. They've gone 30 years+ with having the Race Game jukebox in full view of the camera before the prizes are revealed and now all of a sudden they have to conceal what game they're playing? Her playing of the game itself was pretty dismal. She knew she had two right, made a change and found she had one right... why wouldn't she change it back to what she knew was at least two right and go from there? And now the 3D TV is LESS than $3,000?
Bullseye - a good contestant and a solid playing.
Gas Money - I have a feeling they didn't want this one played all the way out, so, nice to see her take them for the car and the $10,000 as well. As soon as I saw those prices, I figured they were trying to throw her off and hoped she thought the car was more expensive than it really way.
Showcases - yep, another two prize showcase... maybe this is how Mike is combating the end of season overbudget... just offering two prize showcases every day for the rest of the season.
Now, what I was going to say was I believe Drew was highly unprofessional during the first half of the show... he broke one of the highest "commandments" of The Price is Right - that being, never humiliate a contestant. He did it to Pamela, Chelsea and Rudolph. First with Pamela, harping on her about her retired profession. It's a job, she did it for enough years to retire from it, and everyone needs to work. Drew made her feel bad about her job for the sake of a cheap laugh because he doesn't know any other way to interact with a contestant beyond "Where are you from and what do you do?" Then later, in the third one-bid, he started in on Chelsea. Bidding a dollar more in Contestant's Row is a part of the show and the way he harped on and on about how Chelsea did it to Rudolph was just terrible. It was so bad, I actually said outloud "Shut up, Drew." When she was up on stage with him at the turntable and she was apologizing over and over again, it was just a mess, to the point that even Drew was apologizing for making her feel bad. A contestant should never have to say "I'm sorry" about their choices in the games and Drew should have never put her in that position for the sake of a cheap laugh. I thought about changing the channel at that point as he continued to laugh himself silly through the explanation of Flip Flop. Drew took a moment of victory from her and robbed her of it by making her feel bad on national television. He wouldn't let Rudolph alone either with the "Rudolph can't join in the reindeer games" remark (which would have been funny by itself, but, he'd already screwed the pooch by his earlier comments) This should not be happening, period.
