First perfect show of season 43! "In your face Oprah!" :)

I'm getting used to the new Clock Game prop. Things really haven't changed that much. They could get the ARP on the screen faster though. Nice win in the game today.

Perfect 1/2 Off gameplay today. Anyone else notice that, like today, the contestant can actually win more than the $10,000 announced at the beginning of the game? I listened again and George did not say "a chance to win UP TO $10,000"; technically if he did say that, he would be incorrect.

Very nice wins in Bullseye, and Flip Flop, and Dice Game, and 2 for the Price of 1 (for a car!).

Excellent Show today. Great set of contestants that knew how to play the Pricing game well.

I also noticed the last two boxes in 1/2 off had pink on it ( the number 6 was pink and box 14 was pink as well)

Perfect show today! Hooray!

Clock Game: Can't play it much better than that.
Dice Game: Great playing.
Half Off: Easy setup, I thought it was in box 14 as it was pink.
Flip Flop: I would have flopped and lost.  That Aruba trip looked fantastic and it was good to see it won.
2 for the Price of 1: Middle number picked again, and another win as the end result.
Bulls-Eye: Well done to Phyllis
Showcases: The Hawaii trip and the Miata was the better showcase, but a tip of the hat to Elisa.

Outstanding way to close out the week.  Can't wait to see what happens next.

My two cents:

Clock Game: Great win!
Dice Game: Same as above!
1/2-Off: Perfection! The $1,000 bonus, all 3 pairs of SPs, and the $10,000!
Flip Flop: Good win.
2 for the Price of 1: What a win! And for a Fiat, too!
Bullseye: Only 2 weeks into season 43, and already, we have a 6-for-6 show!

Showcases: Hard to determine which is better.

Overall, so far, the best show we've had all season!

They have to be crazy not to re-air this in next summer's reruns...........

THE BAD NEWS:

Zilch, nada, negatory, nyet..........Or none at all.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Clock Game: The more I see the revamp, the more it's starting to grow on me. A good win by Margeline!

Dice Game: Elisa played that incredibly............And won that Beverly Hills Showcase, too!

1/2 Off: All the SPs right, the G-bar bonus, and the $10K to boot........Can't get any better than that. Nice job by Kymberly!

Flip-Flop: You gotta love those $9776 setups.  But Janaia wasn't going to be fooled with that setup. Good job!

2FTPO1: Easy setup and win for Christine!

Bullseye: Phyllis sure does know her Lipton's. A quick and easy win for her!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Wow...........So far, this week was a lot better than last week. Not only we had a IITB solid win earlier, but today we just got a perfect show!! Who says Mike and the rest of the current staff doesn't care about them?  :P Looking forward to what's gonna happened next week!

Clock: No real trouble.

Dice: Those last two digits made me nervous, but it all worked out!

1/2 Off: Can't be played better than that!

F-F: One of the easier games of the day, IMO.

2ftPo1: This game's won for a car for the first time in the current era!

Bullseye: This was the other of the easier games today in my book & it finished off a PERFECT SHOW!!!

DOUBLE CAR WINNER SHOWCASE ROUND:
And we have a repeat occurrence of the 4th of July Perfecto!!! Also, Elisa nearly won both Showcases, almost doing the same thing Jose (remember, his family had breast cancer survivor Linda at the time) did on 5/11/09!

Can't end a wk. much better than that, folks!

Holy crap!  A perfect show!

My showcase bids:
VW--$27,707
Mazda--$27,707
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Well, I'm certainly quick to criticize on here when they get stuff wrong, so I feel obligated to take note when they get things completely right. Let's review the especially good parts of today:

-I really like how the "breast cancer special" part of the show, while certainly there throughout, wasn't overdone with fake 10k Plinko donations or anything of the sort. It was a normal show that happened to have breast cancer survivors, whose stories we learned throughout the show. So the show focused on the contestants, as it should, with a special twist today. Enjoyable to watch.
-Again, good setups for a special. 241 was the easiest car setup we've seen in a long time. Really, Dice was the only game that had a significant chance of being lost today, and even that wasn't as evil as it sometimes is. Well, I guess 1/2 is always a 50/50 at best, but they certainly made that as favorable as they could, though I was half-expecting the money to be in a pink box.
-An A+, FPG-quality lineup. Clock 1st, Dice 2nd, 1/2 3rd. All great slots for those games and not ones we see often. And to round out the 2nd half with 241 for a car showing up (but used to make a car especially EASY, not hard) and only one true quickie on the day was quite nice.

Definite kudos to them for putting this together well. The regular shows are getting better (though it'd be nice to see 1/2 set up this easy on a regular show even once, you know) and it's nice to see they're figuring out how to manufacture great special shows as well.

Clock Game: I'm loving the new set more and more all the time and I was always a fan of it. Today's contestant played the game very well both in terms of playing with speed and the way she narrowed her ranges. Those were very nice prizes, especially the TV, and having a well played Clock Game win was an awesome way to start things off. That Dell laptop was a fantastic contestants row prize too and it was nice to see a perfect bid on it.

Dice Game: Today's contestant had good instincts to say "higher" on the thousands digit despite the odds. Not many cars are below the $15000 range. Since the tens and ones digits are so random you might as well go with the odds on those. Great to see the Kia Soul won.

Half Off: This was the time in which the perfect was most at risk. Today's contestant played the game perfectly but even then it still has a luck factor. I'm so glad box 6 had the $10000 in it and we ultimately got our perfect show.

Flip Flop: Well I thought the degree of difficulty was medium but I would have won as well. Nice win of a very nice Aruba trip.

2 for the Price of 1: Since the 0 looked right for the ones digit I too would have used the free pick on the tens digit. The hundreds digit was extremely easy today. Wonderful to see the Fiat 500 won and red is a fantastic car color. Plus 2 for the Price of 1 is my favorite non car game to see played for a car.

Bullseye: PERFECT SHOW! YEAH BABY! Quality gameplay, useful prizes with the maid service and groceries, and above all else, I say Bullseye is the absolute PERFECT game to clinch a PERFECT show on!

Showcases: Both showcases were fantastic so as long as we didn't have a double overbid we were in a good shape. Outstanding bid by today's winning contestant on the Volkswagen Beetle showcase.

Lineup: Fantastic: Clock Game is a GREAT lead off hitter and has become even more of a favorite of mine with the updated set. Bullseye is a GREAT closer and the best possible game to clinch a perfect show on. Dice Game is one of our best car games. 2 for the Price of 1 is the bets non car game to play for a car. Flip Flop is an above average quickie. I'm not crazy about half Off due to it's luck factor but overall this was a fantastic lineup.

Overall: Let's see, PERCECT SHOW!, great prizes, both showcase were car showcase, today's winning showcase contestant had an excellent bid, and we had a fantastic lineup. So: WE HAD OUR BEST SHOW OF SEASON $# SO FAR! :)
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

Fantastic show to close out what has been a pretty awesome week. And how cool is it that Bullseye clinches a perfect show for the second straight time?

Side note... It's In the Bag and 1/2 Off have winning records on the season. I mean.

Two of the last three to be exact. The last perfect show , the 4th of July show , ended with Pick a Number as the last game.
