They need to have someone review their locations - the Catskills and Rhinebeck are a river apart ;)

Though they seem to be having interest in the area, with Vermont and the Berkshires in MA recently.

Looks like all of the people who figured that the 1/29 episode was pulled was because it mentioned the Grammys "this Sunday on CBS" were right.

Speaking of which, at first I was a little surprised that the showcase didn't include a trip to the Grammys, until I realized that there was no way that the Grammys was going to have any sort of audience on its planned date. (There isn't going to be one this Sunday, either, unless you count the media covering it.)

I figured Joshua stopped too early in Card Game, though I was surprised just how much the car was.

I picked soup and crackers in Vend-o-Price since the quantity was so much more than the soda, no way I thought they'd be over $4 though! Could they have been any more generic with the GP descriptions?

Finally a win in Gridlock, this was the first time this season that a contestant even got to the second set of numbers.

Punch a Bunch continues to be generous this season, a nice rebound after just $250 won last time. Another two bonus spins on the wheel as well!

The other day, I watched a show from Season 11 where they played Card Game and the contestant stopped several thousand dollars too early.  On this show from Season 49, they played Card Game, and the contestant stopped several thousand dollars too early.  Some things just never change.

For what it's worth, I'd have won Vend-O-Price.  Given how much pop usually costs, it didn't seem like there were enough Mountain Dews to be more expensive than all those soups.  (The soup was actually way more than I thought it would be, but that's beside the point.)

Man, they really wanted Gridlock! won.

Is it just me, or was something really funky with the audio on this show?  Maybe this only happened in the online version, but at a bunch of different spots, it seemed like there was some kind of clicking or tapdancing or something playing along with the audience sweetening.  It was really weird, and I have no clue how to explain it except that maybe the wrong sound effect got tossed into the mix somehow.  Aside from that, it seemed like there was some talking in the background at the beginning of Punch a Bunch that cut off abruptly when they went to the small prizes (probably because of an edit, which is also weird), and they also appear to have cut something out of Drew's sign-off.

Yes, those soups are quite expensive (and might even be considered tricky by some, given how much more they are over the standard Progresso canned soups that many are likely more familiar with).  The idea is nice (to have the topping with the soup if you are taking it somewhere) but at that price you can probably buy a cup of freshly made soup for a similar amount.

Also - has anyone noticed that Drew tends to describe this game with "The (Candy bar) is the least expensive item in the vending machine, the (Soda) is the most expensive and the (Soup) is right in the middle)"?
Wonder if anyone ever tried complaining that was a bit deceptive, as the 2nd shelf item is between the other two, but (as this playing shows well) not always anywhere near "right in the middle" of the other two prices.

Drew does not need to even mention that the middle GP is somewhere between the price of the other two products. If he mentions that one is the least expensive and the other is the most expensive, it can be inferred that the other must be between them.
