That’s intentionally done Sir.  Much like the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte.

McRibs are always coming and going.  I did enjoy them even as far back as around 1983. They are so tasty.

I even remember McDonald's offering McRibs around June 1994 when The Flintstones live-action film came out.

I know What-A-Burger does their A1 burger the same way..  It comes and it goes..

I know -lot of places do this but if it is that good should they keep it all the time?   But it is like a season thing?  I have never had it before.

I believe McRibs are not frequent enough to be classified as "seasonal".  They're definitely not as frequent as the Monopoly contest - the latter of which basically happens every year these days.  I don't even remember the last time they offered McRibs, to be honest.

I worked at a McDonald's in 1981 when the McRib came out. Not something I'd try again on a whim. Back then the portions were grilled then sat in a pan marinating in barbecue sauce until an order for one came up. Given the current method of prefabrication, I'd be hesitant to see how they're made now.

Why doesn't McDonalds bring back the McDLT?
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."
