Now there's a gimmick I really liked! A LFAT would have loved playing this one.

Was surprised the dead middle price was right in Gas, but I bet they were expecting a bail. Quite a win, but Dice nearly being an exacta was arguably more so.

Half for 50k again was a bit lazy but we did need a lighter big money game with yet another JJ show over 250k in winnings.

At this point I am all for getting every game a primetime playing, even if it's really not a primetime game at all (Move definitely isn't!), but STARTING with Move was just plain weird.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I was glad they didn't have a bailout option or lose option in Bullseye. It sounded for a minute like they'd have one when Drew was describing the game, but I'm glad they didn't and had her play all five products win or lose. There wasn't a ton of tension, but that's okay as a one-off. It helped the segment become the three minute "happy fun win prizes time" they were aiming for.

Dice Game autowin! Half Off sexed-up perfect playing! Gas Money sexed-up win! A $25K trip to Belize in the showcase! This show had it all!

Gas Money, 1/2 Off, and Dice Game were all well played and VERY well deserved wins! That playing of Bullseye was tough, but good thing Charissa got 2 right and won her Showcase to boot! Another fine Jackpot January episode, but will next week's be just as productive?

What if Charissa had not hit the bullseye once - would they have given her a second chance for $10,000 via the hidden bullseye route? (Of course this would have meant hitting the target all five times would guarantee the $10,000, but I could live with the anticlimax if that happened).
So this is the "get off of my lawn" stage of my life.  I'm not impressed.

Overall epic show of course, and as mentioned, I'm glad there also wasn't a bailout vs lose option either.  Big wins make for a great primetime show in addition to the things have make TPIR a very good show during the day.

As for Dice Game, for some reason (for me), I was thinking of that episode about 28 years ago based off of this calendar year where someone actually rolled the price, and was optimistic that it would happen tonight.  It didn't but rolling the price wasn't necessary either when you win without having to make a decision.  For one, no bonus for doing so, and she came close anyway

We’ll never know for sure. I highly, highly doubt it.

I'm loving all these Jackpot January shows, and I'm loving all the gimmicks. Had Mark known the "Coming or Going" rule and won, would this have been considered a perfect show since "Bullseye" was won under the normal rules or would the full $160,000 had to have been won for this to be a perfect show?

Very easy Make Your Move since $30 was the only price that worked for the phone pouch and $292 was too cheap for the cameras.

Excellent job in Gas Money! I thought it was pretty easy, none of the other prices looked like that much of a possibility.

Also an excellent job in 1/2 Off, and $50,000 to boot! I did worry some that they were going to put it in box 1 for January though.

Great job in Dice Game too, rolling 3 of the 4 numbers and a 6 for the other role.

That was an interesting twist in Bullseye. Too bad she only got 2 out of the 5, but $20,000 is better than nothing.

Wow I was not expecting the Belize and trailer Showcase to be nearly that much.

Always cool too see 1/2 off played for more money.  That is one of my favorite cash games.  The bullseye gimmick was really cool.  I would like to see that gimmick again

I may be in the minority in that I didn't love the Bullseye gimmick. It lacked excitement for me once it was explained they'd go through all 5 products anyway. Ending the game with a miss left something to be desired. A top up with the hidden Bullseye might've helped.

Seems that would have made sense, more like the standard format (where the hidden bullseye is there but not used unless needed).

The questions are, would it have counted only under the ones that actually hit the bullseye or under the ones that missed but were on the board (which is how it normally would work), and what would it have been worth (just doubling the final amount, giving them the full prize, or ??).

In this case either way of counting it would have had the same result (2 of 5 chance of getting it), but it could have been an issue if they got (say) 3 right and 2 missed the target.
