All I can say is, wow! After 30 years of watching so many other people get called on down, I finally got my chance, and right at the last moment, too!

It was such a rush to hear George say those magic words, and I was happy to finally realize a life-long goal of coming on down.

I was happy for Preston and rooting for him, as he had been there the whole show and, as he was about to head off to flight school, he deserved something nice, and I'm happy he won Vend-o-Price.

I'll provide more details later, but I'm happy that I finally got to join the group of TPiR Alums on this site, I have another game show contestant experience under my belt (joining my time on The $100,000 Pyramid nearly five years ago), and I'll treasure this experience for the rest of my life!

Allow me to be the first to publicly congratulate you for finally making it on to the show! It's always great to see longtime friends of the site have a fabulous time at the show, and I'm especially thrilled that we've had so many members on the show lately. They've really changed their stance on having the true loyal friends and true on the show, and it's refreshing to see...the show really is the best it's been in nearly three decades.

Too bad you were called ninth, but hey, you got called down, that's what matters. Now to try again in ten years?

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Thank you! I also got the vibe during the tapings I attended last month that they were very welcoming to loyal friends and true on the show, and the staff appreciated my enthusiasm when I appeared at each of the morning tapings.

I definitely will try to come on down again in 2034 and win my way on stage!

Congrats goldy on joining the gold star club. :)

Also a big win to have an openly trans person as a contestant.

Thank you! Also, a big thanks to the staff for accommodating me by using my chosen name when I attended these tapings in January.

It's too bad you didn't make it on stage but at least you got to fulfill your dream to be a contestant on The Price Is Right.

Even though you got $300 which is not a bad consolation prize, I wish they upped it to at least $400.

The second Showcase Showdown demonstrates why that segment of the show is completely broken.
Tony is asked if he wants to say hello, and pulls a list from his pocket? Folks, you're spinning a wheel...it's not the Oscars here. Then he openly roots against the next two spinners. Just terrible.

I think you're overreacting here.  Tony was laughing along with everyone else and was clearly just messing around.

Yeah, watch that again. Terry is a terrible contestant. Heck, he's still pulling his list out and reading it, has no care about what the wheel is doing, and finally cares to look at the wheel after he reads his list. For the next two contestants, it's all about him, him, him...

I've never rooted against a contestant more than Terry.

Brutal ending to Any Number.

With those last four numbers left, 0, 7, 8, and 9, and the hundreds digit of the middle prize and two numbers in the piggy bank left, the 0 was absolutely a free pick.  It wouldn't have ended the game in the piggy bank, and it would never be the leading number for the VR stuff - and it cost her a car.  If only she realized what she had!
