I guess there's a better way, like saying "I will let the sound effects lady tell us if she's won $10,000 or not," but the "I'm not even gonna look" bit in Grand Game just doesn't work; there's like no buildup for a huge win or depressing loss. Surprisingly, Rich DiPirro had that shot of Drew after the reveal, you'd expect him to looked bummed, but he was rather indifferent.
Is it me or do the Balance Game scales take a pretty long time to tip compared to previous years?
I can't describe how happy we all were in chat to see Dice Game return from a long hiatus, and with its sportstype displays intact! I was afraid that the second number was going to be a one, and the last one a two or one, but Nora pulled off a very exciting win.
Drew, on the other hand, he went through the number reveals in Dice Game acting like a total goof, laughing all the time, and the segment seemed pretty edited down.
It's great to see One Away's new reveal again, with the head-on shot of the Giant Price Tag and seeing it rise to reveal the game. It was sure great to see Sheena win the car and fly into it upon winning.
Maybe I'm the only one who noticed, but I find it odd that all three SP's in Cliff Hangers today were related to each other, and have an Asian flare about them.
It sure was great to see the first dollars on the wheel of the season, shame some bonus money couldn't be awarded.
The showcases were actually quite good and made sense, I guess there's hope for this season's showcases. I hope that Drew or whomever is writing them now can dish out some cool ones like last season's.
