I'm liking the new Punch-A-Bunch distribution, but I wish the second chances were kept.
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

They did away with the 2nd chance completely?  I didn't get to see today's episode because of class.  At least they added a $2,500, did away with the $50, and made the lowest amount have only 5 slips instead of 10 like it was before.

Bunch a bunch was good to have some changes such as making 100 bucks the least amount instead of 50 but too bad 25 grand wasn't won. Today's show wasn't so bad considering we had 2 wins.

I tuned in during the second Showcase Showdown.

$11,000 on the wheel! Always nice to see big cash being given away at the SCSD.

The first showcase was about $25,000; I thought it'd be around $22,000, like the contestant did (who bid $22,500). Yay. =)

I hope I'm not the only one surprised at the second showcase: A trip to Hawaii and a sailboat is worth over $41,000? Yikes.
HYO Winnings:
$46,241.21 (Participated in 6 games; on stage 4 times)

I love Clock Game!

I think we had an historic moment today. First ever $2500 win in Punch-A-Bunch. Is that correct? I also wish that they kept the second chances, now that Hag mentioned it.

Would you go for more than $2500? Would it depend on how many cards you had left to be checked? I would likely go for more.

Average show is average. Setups were pretty favorable today overall, but today was a day of bad breaks in pricing games - still a decent show though. And I'm fine with seeing Pick A Number for a car any day if it means That's Too Much gets a week off, as long as it's not 1st.

The awkward situation that happened in the second showcase showdown seems to be happening more and more frequently these days, which is interesting. Still waiting for someone to break through on one of those bonus spins and get 1.00.

People have already commented on the new distribution in Punch A Bunch, but it was sad to see the no second chances confirmed. I'll take that, however, for an increase in payout. We saw already today how the contestant at least thought a little bit before discarding the $2500. Some contestants are going to make the right move and bail with that amount! And some, like today, will get lucky and end up with that amount anyway.

Timings:
One Away (5) - 4:27
Coming Or Going (3.5) - 2:49
Pick A Pair (4.5) - 4:17
Eazy as 123 (4)- 3:44
Pick A Number (3.5) - 2:57
Punch A Bunch (5.5) - 6:09
Total (26): 24:23

Someone who works for the show really needs to explain Coming or Going to Drew. He makes himself look silly each time it's played. Today, he made it painfully obvious with his "tilt the thing this way if you want the price coming toward you and tilt it that way if you want the price going away from you" explanation that he doesn't get the basic concept of the game and/or he's not heard of the of the phrase "you don't know whether you're coming or going" and how it relates to the pricing game. I cringe every time they play it because it's so obvious that Drew is oblivious to it, and it makes him look like a bumbling fool.

Also, I wish someone would sit Drew down and make him watch a full episode of his hosting and have him count the number of times he says "ummm" and "uhhhh." It's completely annoying, and "he's not a polished host or performer" is not an acceptable excuse. He seems to do it mostly when he's transitioning, but still, it's a really bad habit he could try to eliminate or at least improve.

Overall, I've been pleased with the show (I'm thinking the classic clips has a lot to do with this) and, to a certain extent, Drew so far this season (he's not any worse than he was last season at least). The show has really gotten some things right that have made it worth watching.

I was impressed that both of Elizabeth's spins were exactly two times around the wheel - first from 1.00 to 1.00, then in the spin off from 5 to 5.

Was TTM subbed out by PA#? That was odd. Also, Caylo disappointed me in OA, but that's been happening a lot lately - the 2nd digit shouldn't be a guess, but apparently now it is.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

It was nice that all six games were receiving their first playing of the season.  Better than seeing the same old games.

Punch a Bunch ruins the perfect record the cash games had so far this season.  It took its 73rd consecutive loss (or partial win), going across now five seasons.

I'm glad they did something to the Punch a Bunch distribution, but as I said when we found out about this over the summer, it feels kind of half-assed.  Getting rid of the Second Chances seems awfully random, and having five $100 when there are ten of the next three highest amounts feels weird.  Still, it's a lot better than Kathy's ridiculous "whole new Punchboard," as Drew called it, from Season 37.

Eazy az 1 2 3 was pretty much unwinnable.

God, I hate Pick-a-Number for cars.

The two-prize showcases are really getting out of hand.  They just feel cheap.

I don't see why it would have been.

Its what happens when Mike maxes the budget (i.e. 4 cars in Race Game)
