According to tpirsummaries.8m.com, this is the first time all 3 prizes in Rat Race were won since January 19, 2011. Anyways, me and Prizes attempted to look for the ARP of all 3 prizes. The trip is completely unknown – a regular trip there costs $9,345 per 5/9/2016’s Range Game – but this trip had 4 guests and a first-class flight. After looking through bhphotovideo.com, we can determine the camera and accessories to cost $1,258.40 in total, and according to Edmunds.com, the BMW costs $34,145.

I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

Rat Race was most amazing tonight. It was cool enough to see a rare three-rat race, but to see Kimberly win the trifecta was extraordinary! I enjoyed how they went big with the trip and the BMW here.

I'm torn about It's in the Bag's color changes. Yes, the pastels were outdated-looking, but that is quite a contrast of colors. I thought the first four bags were rather easy, but the last bag could have reasonably gone either way.

Pretty good show tonight, although I thought Phil Keoghan was the least interesting of the three hosts. There were also certain spots of the show that felt rushed, like they couldn't wait to go from showing the prize to the description and then from the description to the bidding/gameplay.

Something I meant to bring up before-- I didn't really like that there was no break between the first Showcase Showdown and the 4th IUFB/pricing game. It made the announcement of the winner feel rushed and unimportant.

Squeeze Play was very difficult. I didn't think at all the motorcycle and the watercraft together would be only $10,000+. I thought for sure making the price $14,000+ was correct.

I know the Amazing Race involves traveling around the world, but there was definitely a trip overload tonight.

I thought the new colors made the set look a little bland personally.

Really?  Speed Stick is cheap, even before factoring in that that wasn't a full-size stick.  If anything, it would have been in the $1.99 bag, but even that seems high for what is essentially half a stick of deodorant.

Heck, there was a greater chance of the deodorant being in the 79-cent bag than the $4.49 bag.  There was no chance anything but the sauce was in the last bag.

Where do I begin? By the way, for those of you who don't know me, I am namnhu12, aka Nam Nhu.  I am in the Red Georgia t-shirt on the right side of the audience.

Let me start by backing up to being in line on March 23rd.  The minute we walked onto the grounds at CBS, we immediately began to fill out our forms.  For the primetime specials, you also filled out a form for the producers of Survivor/Big Brother/The Amazing Race.  You have to ask questions about the other show, such as who is your favorite team.  Keep in mind, I did not know which teams were going to be there...

Fast forward to 1230 pm.  We enter the studio and see all the awesome decorations from the Amazing Race.  Also, the Goodson asterisks are huge in person.... Mike and George helped warm up the audience and instructed the contestants to run toward the upper left corner to meet you favorite team and come on down together.  The come on downs in real time lasted about 5 minutes.

There were longer breaks into between all games (even Cliff Hangers, Rat Race).  During that time Drew entertained the crowd a little bit and then leave the stage.  The teams left after their pricing game and walk out of the studio.

It took over 5 minutes for the young lady to make her decision in Switch?  Also, in IUFB #5 they edited out all 4 over bids.  Everybody chanted $1 after the 2nd overbid....

By far, the longest stopdown was during Rat Race.  The orange rat started to race even before Phil pressed the go button.  It was at least 45 minutes as we had to reset the game, get new rats, and have S&P have a looked before the race.  Also, they had to reshoot Phil starting the race.  For the commercials that aired for the special, the promotional shots and Phil's introduction were done during stopdowns.

Sybil, the lady that was onstage with the showcase winner was a contestant on The Price Is Right.  She played One Away and won Dodge Dakota in March 2004.

That is all I have right now. If you have any other questions, please contact me.
I got to live my lifelong dream on December 19, 2023.

I understand Drew was excited about the trifecta, but BLUE BLUE BLUE was only a camera at stake while she had the Beamer by a mile for a few seconds of semi-awkward silence. Not the best hosting there.

Also, in IUFB #5 they edited out all 4 over bids.
A 70" TV at $1200 was a mistake in the first place.

How rare is it for the show to include a trip (besides an around the world trip) where the flight isn't nonstop?  The trip to South Africa went from Los Angeles via Washington.  I am assuming it's one or both of (a) Los Angeles to South Africa is just too far of a trip for even a 747 to make it nonstop, and (b) South African Airways itself doesn't fly to Los Angeles (you can get flights from LA to Johannesburg on the SAA website, but there's always a flight change, and the first leg is another airline - I see JetBlue, Virgin America, and United flights).

And I usually make a joke about this, but apparently the TAR contestants give up their last names when they appear on the show...
Actually, CBS did mention their last names  (and TAR seasons):
Leo Temory and Jamal Zadaran, Season 23 and 24
Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, Season 28
Erin Robinson and Joslyn Davis, Season 28
Joey Buttitta and Kelsey Gerckens, Season 27 winners
Natalie "Nat" Strand and Katherine "Kat" Chang, Season 17 winners
William "Bopper" Minton and Mark Jackson, Season 20
Tiffany Chantell Torres and Krista DeBono, Season 27
Brook Roberts and Claire Champlin, Season 17
Nathaniel "Big Easy" Lofton and Herbert "Flight Time" Lang, Seasons 15, 18, and 24

??? Based on...what? I just looked at their site & a "base" ticket if I leave today is $1,300. Leaving tomorrow is only $700.

If I'm going first class, and leaving on Monday, it's only $936.09. The farther out you book your ticket, the cheaper it will be.

Very true - that size (1.8 oz. as listed) is often found in $1 stores and in other stores on sale for $0.99.  Not sure what the Suggested Price would be but possibly up to the $1.99 bag.  Now, if they had chosen the Speed Stick GEAR, that could have been in the $4.49 bag (or even higher) but since they didn't...

You weren't, but besides Golden Road, it'd be best not to play the other games. All three can run around or suggest things on stage and while the Amazing Race teams could at least try to suggest help to the contestant they were playing with, those timed games would render them ultimately useless as they stood by and watched the contestant play.

A very aggressive lineup, which is what I was hoping for. I know we've had lineups just as long or longer in daytime, but I do enjoy the more rarer game combinations.

Rat Race was simply amazing. Great way for the game to make its primetime debut.

I thought on the whole I really enjoyed these shows. They weren't MDS, but they did feel special with all the nice touches they could throw in with the extra time granted by virtue of being in primetime. I hope they did well enough that in the future CBS would consider these in spots where they don't really have much to air.
