If this doesn’t exemplify how inane the “Plinko isn’t won” thing is, nothing does.

Blame others. I'm not dealing with the fight. I've stuck with this for my entire time.

Whew! If it's not winning a Lincoln Continental in Golden Road last week, it's the winning that happened tonight! Kudos to Carlos, Angelique, and Diane for their incredible, hard earned victories! And, of course, all the same to Betty for making a damn good choice in Swap Meet. ;)

Blame others. I'm not dealing with the fight. I've stuck with this for my entire time.

Well, I too say that it's a win in Plinko. A win I say! You hear me? WIN!!!  xlx

[sees Carlos's winnings at the SCSD] Oh my God.

Also, I think $631 is the second-closest primetime showcase SCSD, next only to Michael Haynes' million-dollar-winning difference of $489 back in 2008.

If this doesn’t exemplify how inane the “Plinko isn’t won” thing is, nothing does.

Tuning it out is probably the best way to go.  As Adam mentioned, it's a meaningless argument.  Especially since they rank the spinning order as well as who's where in the showcase by one's winnings.  That's the outcome that matters.  Winning a game or losing a game isn't nothing either but I'll probably settle for $100,000 over a trio of trips somewhere.

Great show nonetheless.  I still wish the 3rd & 7th slots were $10,000 when the center one is that high, but it didn't matter for this episode

Where to start with this gem of an episode?

This is the 2nd episode that was taped on 11/16/2023.  I was also at the 1st show that taped on the same day, but that episode has not shown up.  I could tell when we returned to the audience holding area that this crowd had an edge.  There were very lively and ready for anything.  And as you saw (the group with the aprons) were bartenders, so everyone was so ready to go.  Just to let you now.  11/14 was Christmas show, then they took the day off to take down the decorations and put down the blue floor for Primetime.

I was totally in shock when I saw Swap Meet as the 1st game.  I'm like.  Wait a minute?  This is the 1st time this game has been be played in Primetime.  Most of the audience thought that the scooter was right.... but we were all wrong.  Carlos was a hoot.  He cussed with the f-bomb 3 times to his wife after winning the trip to Miami.  The voice of God (aka Adam Sandler) came on and stopped tape.  They had to retape the segment because they did not want this episode to appear on Showtime late night. And we were still cheering for Carlos even going into the break.

Nobody in studio had a clue about the price of that Jaguar.  And Gridlock is a game that takes a long time to set up and get off the stage.  And it was an extra 20 to 30 minutes because they had to do extra shots of the car and also white glove treatment just to remove the Jaguar out of door 2.

As for Flip Flop, I turned around to Christan's group to tell them to tell him just to flip.  It was primetime and they will not give a 5K prize away.  Unfortunately, they did not listen and regretted it when I was talking to them before we went to commercial.

I was dead wrong in Hi Lo.  I turned to Angelique's husband (who was behind me as well) and gave him advice to say the craisins.  I was so glad that she was fast on picking the pickles and she was crying after she won that dream trip to the Maldives.

Diane sure made for some exciting TV, did she.  The 1st contestant to ever win the biggest piggy bank.  She came to the show hoping to win a car (since she had to borrow her sister's car just to attend the taping).  Did you see how Diane she went through Any Number and plugged the remaining numbers?  Obviously knowing that 0 did not belong and they have the 50/50 for either the Jetta or cash?  The audience literally exploded for a few minutes when she won $62,700.  I had to pick my friend out of his seat because we were so shocked.  And we had some interesting conversations with George during the stopdowns.  And by the way, Diane was not happy at first having to stay with her bid of $57,000.  She wanted to bid $47,000 (which would have been a win as well), but they stopped tape and talked to S & P about whether to allow her to change the bid.  Of course, once you here the ding (and this rule is said to you by Chris Donnan before the showcases), that is the final answer.  And of course, the rest is history.  We ran into Diane after the show in the parking lot and she was so happy.  She got her car, she got her cash and she was an excellent contestant.
I got to live my lifelong dream on December 19, 2023.

Cross Swap Meet off the never played in primetime list. Not the easiest setup, but I did think she was right with the TV.

Too bad he missed two of the SPs, but that was great Carlos did get 1 $100,000 hit!

Ouch, Gridlock was a downer. Makes me wish contestants got to make 2 wrong picks before losing.

Flip Flop should've been won, but at least the really easy setup in Hi Lo wasn't wasted.

The piggy bank x $10,000 was an interesting twist, but I'm not a big fan of the car becoming a secondary prize.

Very nice bid by Diane! I was surprised Betty was as far off as she was.

This is what I was afraid of when we first got word there would be rule change gimmicks in these set of eps - changing a loss into a win. Big, big yuck. (Times 1000 would have been fine, but I guess that's not big money enough.)

In A#'s case it's worse because they can arbitrarily decide anywhere from $10200 to $98700 is available. The whole playing had awkward energy as it became clear the bank was the much bigger prize. Please, never again on this and we can do better gimmicks than this, thanks.

EDIT: We had a 2xx difference last month in primetime, guys.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

"The Price is Right Sandwich": Drew's new term for when the second or third bidder 1-ups someone but then gets 1-upped themselves by a later bidder. I love it :-D. We'll then have to call the rare case when the bids go x, x+1, x+2, and x+3 "The Price is Right Club."

Also, great job by Diane in Any Number. The laptop was likely to end in 0 or 5 and she avoided both, being rewarded with $62,700.

Overall, this was a really fun show. Looking forward to the next couple!

Tired: Plinko on steroids
Nothing takes the air out of a show like Plinko with a ridiculous center slot. "Someone could win half a million dollars?! Oh..." It's great that Carlos hit the $100K at the end, but how is someone winning 20% of the grand prize more exciting than just playing ˝ Off or Grand Game for $100K? It baffles me that they continue to trot it out just so they can flaunt the huge dollar amount.

(Also, I know I'm super late on this, but I hate hate hate the Dig We Must for every center slot hit. Especially on the last chip... just go to the theme song. And get off my lawn!)

Wired: Piggy bank ×10,000
I actually loved this idea just because it was so off the wall. Yes, it completely changed the game, but so what? Just imagine the piggy bank at the top of the board and say all three prizes were upgraded. $62,000 in cash is so much better than a car you have to pay taxes on and might not even want/need, so I still felt like the end was suspenseful even when it was clear she was going to win one or the other just by not calling 0.

I usually let out a big sigh when I see Plinko with these huge numbers because it's commonly a huge let down. Tonight was an exception for sure, but only having 3 chips was a bit of a bummer.

I screamed at the TV sitting Flip Flop as that was a pretty easy setup.

Any Number was pretty cool, but they should have put a $1×,××× trip in place of the car so that a car wasn't "lost".

I love high stakes Price is Right so I'm really enjoying these shows! The big thing I don't understand is why they seem to hate the clangs and whoops now. A $100,000+ win on Plinko, a $60,000+ win on Any Number and even last week's Golden Road win all warranted them. I always find the clangs and whoops really added even more excitement to a big win!

Wow, what a wild episode!  So, so much going on here...primetime Swap Meet, a center slot hit on big money Plinko, Gridlock! for a Jag, a $40,000 trip in Hi Lo...oh, yeah, and Any Number for cash.  That last one absolutely blew my mind.
