I'm sure people who didn't watch yesterday were completely confused when he randomly "fried chicken" at the end of the show after the spay/neuter plug (not that yesterdays mentioning made any sense either)

He hosted "One Away" very well.  Liked it alot.

Stop mocking the opening line for the first item up for bids!  He needs to address that in a more respectful manner.

Contestants didn't seem to be confused with the prizes on the green screen as much today.

I am sick and tired of the prize recaps in the showcase.  This has to stop.

Clock Game: Watching losses like this make me compare to the Yodelly Guy falling off the mountain from 0.

Grand Game: Honestly, I totally forgot about the razor kit; so I tried the nasal strips.

Master Key: I don't think I would've gotten a key at all.

Oh, now I see how the new wall works...

Balance Game: I would've tried the 4K and 1K bags. Imbalanced.

One Away: I liked how Bonnie added a "please" to those requests. It always seem hurtful when you ask for all five and not get a response.

One Bid 6: At least Kevin took the defeat like a man...

1 Right Price: "Oh, those are motorscooters, not motorcycles."

Showcases: I had a feeling Drew was going to mention "fried chicken" again. I took care of that for lunch today.

I cought the show starting after the Balance Game win and Drew's...what was that?

One Away was spectacular as always.

The showcases....bah.  Better than yesterday, but still so sub-par it's not funny.

I really don't want to hear the words "fried chicken" again for a VERY LONG time.
They can be close at the top, too.

The opening titles said "ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW."  Boy, isn't that the truth.  It's not what we WANT, but it sure is true.

- It's official:  Drew has disrespected the power of the show's opening with his different openings every day.  Again, today's would have been funny if it was the first time he did it.  Every day, it's so stupid.

- The new model is very pretty but she looked terrible waving at the TV for 10 seconds.

- Why was Drew looking at his watch when he said the rules to the items Up for Bids?

- Clock Game was sure bad.

- The bumper pool table description was so dumb.  I think it's painfully obvious that Drew had something to do with it since they cut back to him on camera.  That just means it's ABOUT HIM!!!!  Let the show be about the contestants, the prizes, and US the viewers.

- Who were those people in that box during the Balance Game?  The one lady looked so bored!!!

- By the second half of the show, I found myself realizing that I hate all things they are doing to the show.  Then Bonnie showed up.  Great job to Stan for finding such a wonderful enjoyable contestant.  The reason she was so enjoyable was because Drew made it about HER!  Not about HIM!  She brought a smile to my face because she was so fun to watch.  It was the first time I smiled watching this show in months!

- Not that they are destroying the show, but what is the deal with showing the audience after each game?  Couldn't they use that time to go back and show the contestants reactions like they used to years ago??  I would rather see the contestant than a random shot of the audience.

- Just FYI:  Amanda, the guest model, is from Birmingham, AL in case anyone missed it the 500 times Drew said it!!!!!

- That joke about filling up the bathtub in the Showcase was HORRIBLE especially for a "plus size" contestant on stage.  It was incredibly mean and of course didn't work out.  I assume they told Nathan to say "The Price is Right" was his favorite show.  Gee how scripted.  After seeing Rich's supposed prize screwup yesterday, it's becoming so fake!

The prize descriptions were horrible all day long!

Is it just me or did this show change overnight?  Last Friday wasn't this bad!

What was with the random guy who was behind the doors when Drew's name was called?  I was halfway hosting whoever that was would come out and host the first segment.  :P

After Clock Game, when Drew said, "Don't change the channel," as soon as the contestant lost, I thought, "Oh boy, here we go again to Boredville." Why even put that thought in people's minds? Console the contestant, pick the energy back up, and move on.

I hope with all my being that this is the last "fried chicken" reference made on Price is Right. It was utterly ridiculous yesterday (or at least totally unfunny, to me anyway) and to mention it yet again was just bad.  Maybe it was just me, but I found it to be extremely disrespectful to mention it right after the spay/neuter plug. Sure, eating fried chicken has nothing to do with spay/neuter, but spay/neuter is so important to Bob, then to include a reference to something he'd certainly not like (since Bob is a vegan) was unnecessary and bordering on thoughtless.

1.  I've said it before and I'll say it (fried chicken) again:  One Away is BY FAR DREW'S BEST CONTRIBUTION to the show.  He took a favorite BB moment and turned it (fried chicken) into a regular thing in the playing of that game and I LOVE IT.  The problem (fried chicken) is we can;t play that game but once a week at best.

2.  I logged out of chat after the 1st Act...I couldn't take it.  But after seeing the Clock Game prizes, I immediately logged back in.  I thought we were gonna witness daytime (fried chicken) history.  Turns out I was right, but not (fried chicken) for the "right" reason.  Barker I'm almost sure would have stopped the (fried chicken) clock at some point and given her a chance to collect herself and reset her "guesses".

3.  None of this (fried chicken) silliness stops for a good long time.  I'm just happy to at least get a little bit of vindication before the (fried chicken) shows I saw taped live air.  Everyone can now see that I wasn't exaggerating as to how bad it gets.

Today's opening (just...no. I can take the little gestures, but putting a stage guy out there randomly isn't fooling anyone) & ending (after spay & neuter - YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!) extremely disappointed me, to the highest degree. I'm afraid I'm going to have to take off half a grade, so let's get down to it:

Clocky: Ugh. Too high, too low, forgot some previous hints given. Just not the right type for this game
Grandy: 1.29, 2.49, 2.99, 8.99, 11.77, 11.92. Unbelievably strange split with the highest target ever, and made for really awkward play.
Key: Glad to see this game, but sad to see Drew still not going from the little prize to the car in a 1-key, non-Master situation.
Pre-OB4: I can't form an opinion on this...displacement of host yet. It may be a one-time thing, if it happens again all week, I'll get an idea if it's positive or negative.
Balance: Strange little 1k-3k jump, good win.
OA: Nice win on a tough price!
1RP: Easy pickings.
SCs: Once again, they belittled a prize (the tub) on purpose. Also once again, little to no theme. At least the green skins were reacted to (must have found a way) and they look nice when edited.

B --> B-. Drew's taking something so cliche and random as a highlight of the show, wherever he decides to pop it up - and boy, is it truly one!

The first Showcase would've been fine if the second prize had something to do with the theme ("fill 'er up") and not belittling the bathtub.  We know not everyone wants to go on the show just to win a bathtub, but it's pretty much an unwritten rule to applause along anyways.

And is there any reason why all the rooms currently being given away look so disarrayed?  It's not so much a room as it is 'random' furniture thrown together side by side to suggest a room.  I was sadistically wishing that Nathan would say something other than Price is his favorite show.  Either that, or "The Drew Carey Show". :P

Just stop.  Stop it.  I don't care if it's a running gag or just abysmal attempts of being 'funny'.  Fried chicken.  Fried chicken.  I will never eat it again.  It's no longer appealing and appetizing, and so is this show.  If I wanted slapstick humor, I'll go watch some cartoons.

I'm sorry.  Where is Amanda from again?

I was lucky enough to go home during my lunch break and was able to watch but I'm back at work now.  (My coworkers don't want to watch at work during lunch break anymore)  I can't be sure, but was there some comment about hairy people and being "smooth as a baby's butt" during the Grand Game?  The show is not on CBS.com so I can't check until I get back home.  I just remembered it now though.

Say what you want, but I liked it when a Local 33 member got his moment in the sun when Door #2 opened... well, at least until Drew appeared in the intro.

...they're going to be completely changing clock game, aren't they?

There's NO way a Beachcomber Hot Tub is in the same league as your typical clock game item. Which of course is going to screw over the LFAT's that are used to sub 1k items.
Yeah...let's make this current shall we?

If a college ever teaches a course on gameshows...they can use shows from this week to illustrate how NOT to do a game show.

Host: Stop disrespecting the show.  I hate how Drew mocks the opening line about who the prize goes to.

Host:  The interview process consists more than just asking where they are from and what they do.

Host:  When someone loses he should stay up to entice people to watch more of the show rather than to get down and become sad.

Producers:  they should stop with the "cute" intros to the prizes that get contestants up on stage.  (especially  "a revolution---a pool table with bumpers"  "Drew--I bet you thought bouncing on water was impossible")

Producers:  Display a bedroom so that it looks nice (today's display looked awful!).

Writers (I guess it's Drew)  Start writing EXCITING showcases---not lame ones.    We all knew a car was coming in the first showcase even though they were playing "cute."
When the doors opened up on the car, any surprize was non-existent.  Excitement is needed as a showcase is read...not lame lines and jokes.

Prize-wise, the second showcase was like one of the worst in Price's 36 year history.  A trip to TEXAS (to a festival I never heard off) as the last prize!!!!!...where's the spa,, boat, trailer, car, or fabulous trip?
(don't get me wrong...I like Texas...but not as the final prize).  Very close (but not quite) to being a "zonk" (the TV set saved it)

Finally, today's  mention of "Fried Chicken" really illustrates that even though Drew thinks he's clever and funny he is really quite immature.

If you recall, back in the "Drew's Season 37 Performance" thread, I said I was willing to give all these changes a shot, but, after watching the past few episodes, it's becoming harder and harder to defend what's been going on.

The fried chicken reference DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! It's a reference to nothing. I believe in being irreverent, but, that's just non-sensical. Can you imagine if Letterman just sat at his desk while showing some clips and just repeated the words "fried chicken" over and over? I sincerely hope that Drew stops saying it. I have no problem with him trying to be funny, but, that's not funny. It's just confusing. What if someone didn't see yesterday's show; they wouldn't understand the reference. Hell, I saw yesterday's show and I still don't get it.

After now seeing the green screen trip skins, I also don't get it. Why'd they need to use these? Was there something wrong with the traditional prize skins; were they becoming too expensive to commission or something? I mean, it would be one thing if they actually had a moving image in that chroma key, but, they've just been using a static image. What's the point? If you're going to go to the trouble of using something like a green screen, then USE it! If it's a tropical location, show varying images of beaches, surf, palm trees, etc, not just cut to a full-screen image of the same image that's already been chroma keyed in like they did today.

Why do they feel the need to cut to the audience before commercials now? Don't these people get on camera enough as it is? What was wrong with just fading to black after Drew throws it to commercial? I'm not necessarily nitpicking, I'm just trying to figure out the rationale.

And I'm sorry, but, the opening just doesn't look right without the light border. I don't understand why they couldn't make a new one that worked for both 16:9 screens and 4:3 ones. Why not just have it fill the extended portions of the screen in 16:9 so it looks okay in both modes?

As I said, it's getting harder and harder to accept some of these changes.

Oh, jeez. Here comes the x number of "they're bringing in a digital clock!" posts.
