CSS Results for December 8
« on: December 08, 2008, 03:05:22 PM »
...and I could have won the boat, too. Goes to show that being a little obsessive-compulsive and wanting your bids to be exactly ten grand apart is a bad idea. Should have gone a thousand lower and had the DSW. Oh well. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, but didn't. And so it goes.

Not like I'm alone in over-land, a couple of WSDs too. Some familiar names up top of the spreadsheet today: Enzo Aquarius with the points win, visualbasicwizard in second with the boat and pathfinder20 in third with the truck.

It didn't quite hold together, but the Rich as weather man skit had a good concept, just suffered from bad writing. And the other one was a showcase with furniture.

It feels so good to not start of the week with an overbid.

Take note that the difference in the price betweeen the Ford F150 base model and the Ford F150 XLT is about $4,000, and subtract that from my bid.

I just got the models mixed up.

Wow, from a QSW on one playing to the biggest overbid on BOTH showcases (aside from Stagey's bid on SC1) in the next. No one ever said consistency was my strong suit... I made the same mistake TPIRSteven made with SC2, and still would have overed without it, and there is NO WAY I would not have overed that FRBS. Bad day, folks, bad day.

I would have taken 1st if I had not mistyped my bid.  I had intended to bid 17,843 on SC1.  I need to double check my bids before sending them.  But at least it did not cause me to lose the day, so I got lucky there.  Good job Enzo!  Beat me by a single point.

$17,400/$31,100... took down Armadillo on the boat, but I think what got me is the sauna. Either that, or I overpriced the F-150. But I think those are fairly expensive, so I'd lean toward it being the sauna. Either way, it's yet another tough loss for me.
