Nice $100K win in Grand Game, and quite the exciting win in Dice Game. I also liked hearing the contestant talk strategy in Any Number.

And how ‘bout that 90 cent three-way tie in the first Showcase Showdown? :)

A fairly easy Grand Game for $100,000 to start the show, going waffles or detergent for the last pick was a little bit tough but the waffles were the more likely choice.

At that point 4 was the least logical pick of the three remaining numbers since it was so close to the 5 and 2 in the piggy bank.

3 way tie in the Showdown! Don't see that very often.

Great job by Linda to rebound after a bad guess on the potato masher. $20-$30-$40 would've resulted in a total of 4 steps.

Another very wide margin in Magic #, though not the worst.

Excellent win by Shaunte in Dice Game despite rolling almost all 3s.

AnA NummuN was lost

besides that show good
Bring back Penny Ante, but have it with 3 prizes, one grocery item/prize, 5 pennies, and a $3-5K bonus for playing perfectly, and maybe, just maybe, I will enjoy the show more.

Edit: The showcases are better, so the show is being enjoyed.

Total given away this week:

(This excludes SPs since one SP in Bonus Game wasn't added to the jackpot, but allows for any for of partial + prize, like maxing out Money Game for instance)

I wasn't expecting a very solid 5/6 show out of nowhere, and the fact that we were a 1/3 tossup away from perfection is a welcome surprise.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

I liked it better when Friday was all big money games - especially if not doing it means they don't play Windmill Hole in One (or Two) at all that week.

I'm not sure there should've been a "crapload of Perfect Shows" over the past couple of seasons.  Maybe 3-4, if not 5.

I understand the joy of a perfect show and the frustration of falling short (or just not getting there, if not the opposite).  It's rare these days, and quite frankly, it's been tough to achieve perfection over the course of a half century.  Despite that, I personally will not lose sleep over it.  The show can be great without all the games won, maybe even better than a perfect show.

As for this episode, I think it was rather terrific despite the unfortunate result in Any Number.  I don't think I would have ever thought of guessing an 8 or 9 there given what was missing in the piggy bank.  Of course, an 8 would not have won it today, but it's just bad luck coupled with a tough setup and price.

While it's painful that we were so close to 6/6, the Dice Game result was the reverse; I agree in that the Dice Game would have been a guess as to what "ruined" a perfect show.  Usually when that many 3s or 4s are rolled incorrectly, that is a recipe for a loss.  I'm glad it wasn't which made for an exciting moment.  Most other days, the contestant would not fare well.  At the end of the day, the result could've been worse in addition to, if not in place of Any Number, but for me, this episode was very good to close out a rather nice Big Money Week.

I'll wait to agree with that jinx related to a refurbished set.  The third set of Shell Game just showed up for the first time on Thursday.  Maybe you could make that argument if it's lost a couple more times.  IMO, it's just a coincidence

It was a good show today, the Any Number segment was the toughest one of the bunch and with good reason.

$100,000 Grand Game: Tarella did great.   I too had it down to the detergent and the waffles.   The waffles was a 24 count and 24 count can be deceptively over $6.50.   Even that detergent.   I too went with waffles along with Tarella.   That setup was tricky.   The Garlique was obvious to avoid.

Any Number: EVIL setup.   NASTY price and the 0 was the fourth digit?!   I gotta admit it was ballsy for Nishant to pick 0 when the three was the last digit.   Wow.   But bad luck there.  The third digit was tricky too.

Flip Flop: That one was easy as pie.

Cliffhangers: I cringed when Linda said $10 on the potato masher.   But she redeemed herself on the last two products!

Magic Number had a reasonable setup.   The lowest was $1,200 so it was not that bad.

Dice Game: Whoa three three rolls?   Phew at least it was won.  $49,000 plus in the progressive jackpot was huge.   If only the Any Number setup was NOT EVIL...it would have been over $65,000....
