I waited a long time but finally I was able to attend a taping and what a thrill it was.  I tried to take in everything in the short time it took to tape and boy was it  short or at least it felt that way.  They run a smooth operation.  It took no time at all to set up for the each act.  It was a blast though.

When Bob went to push the button to reveal the price in Bonkers it wouldn't work so they stopped tape.  A stagehand or two tried to get it working and it didn't take much.  From what I could see all that was needed were a few extra jabs at the button.  Just before they continued from where they left off Bob told the contestant to "look depressed".  They made the edit look smooth.

Believe it or not but there was an edit in Bonus Game as well.  On the last prize Bob built up the suspense so much that when he revealed the correct price to find out she was wrong he ended the game right there and was about to escort the contestant off the stage forgetting that she still had a chance to win.  Once again they stopped tape.  As Bob himself said, "Barker screwed up".  According to him, he would've been alright had he not built up the suspense.  He also threw in a quick line. "I'd rather be home drinking".  That got a chuckle from the audience.

It's decided to start tape from when the price has been revealed.  That's why you hear him say "it's lower" twice and two "awwww"'s from the audience.  Just before they started rolling Bob told this contestant to "look depressed, too".

I believe it was when Bob did his spiel about the MDS' that William jumped on the green seat like a bunny in excitement of the announcement.

We were all on our feet when the dollar was hit in each SCSD.  Exciting stuff.

There was a re-shoot of the car featured in the Showcase after the credit roll.  I don't know why.

When Adam's friends were filing on stage after he had won his Showcase, a couple of girls who were not part of that group tried to join the bunch but the page wouldn't allow it.

Playing along in studio was difficult for me because I either couldn't hear the make of the prize or I couldn't quite see the prize in it's entirety.  I felt so lost. :-P

Danger Price: Ugh!

Bonkers:  That was pretty tough.

Pocket Change: Haven't seen this game in a while, and a nice win after struggling with the second number!

BONUS GAME! Forced win!?

Pass the Buck: $3,000 is not bad.

Flip-Flop: Easy, but next time, don't think for so long!

SC's: Shame on you Deborah...

Let's hope for a great MDS tonight!  Later...

It's people like William that make me wonder what the contestant coordinators are thinking. How the heck does some college stoner trying to impress his friends get picked, while members of our site who love the show and have watched all their lives get snubbed (with the exception of Adam today)? I really don't understand it.

Congratulations, Adam... on a day in which we see people like William, you winning (heck, just getting up on stage) is a welcome sight.

HOTTIES: #262, Molly; #263, Deborah; #264, Kimberly :-D
BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY: No surprise here... Adam
SHOW GRADE: 3

You know, I wondered if there was an edit, because it really looked like there was. Thanks for filling us in.

Great job today Adam. I know that being up there isn't easy. I went there on my one and only visit to LA to get picked, and boy howdy I DID!! I know the feeling that you had today.

Did anyone catch Rich saying, "Yea, I saw it," before he described the GEM car during the showcase? It was very quiet, yet loud enough it caught my ear and I rewound the tape. Was it crashed, hence the reason its reveal was re-shot?

"Adam Marchese? THAT Adam Marchese?? The same Adam Marchese from Florida that created one of the first few Press Your Luck sites I have ever visited back in 1998??? No! Yes! Well, good luck."

Danger Price: Well, it looks like Adam quickly made it up and will not be a potential Banishee. Okay, when it got to the last pick, I figured the recliner would be more than the bikes; however, I did not know by how much. So I went for the bikes. Oh, that's tough luck. Maybe we should've have some Gatorade before the show...

Bonkers: I came up with an idea: When Bob explains the rules, get an idea as to where the disks can go. Some of Elaine's picks were some of my picks. Her last was what I thought of first. Another case of tough lucketh.

One Bid 3: From this point, I get to think William was one of those contestants who has 420 variants on his mind...

Pocket ¢hange: Another idea brewed: Give the first number free without using one of the available numbers to make it just a litte harder, leaving two numbers not used in the end. But I think that's why get the first number free now. Molly played it a little tough in the beginning, but certainly made up for it in the end.

Showcase Showdown 1: Boy, I wish Adam still has his site around, I wonder if he'll talk about his adventure there, including winning that $1,000.

Bonus Game: I tripped on the first prize while Kimberly tripped on the last one. Wouldn't have mattered because we both got the middle prizes correct for the win.

Pass the Buck: I don't think I would get three picks nor win on this one. I wanted to pass the buck on the Glad Bags for some stupid reason. I would have done the same thing with the Gold Bond and then picked (4), which was not the car.

Flip Flop: Since William finally got up with the last bid advantage, I wonder how he's going to do on this one. I was flipflopping both of my hands to signify just that.
Okay, I have seen winning contestants flip, go bonkers, and run to their prizes, but I don't I recall seeing ANYBODY run around the whole damn stage like that! Hmm...

Showcases: Okay. I had a good feeling Deborah was going to go over on hers, but I was wondering if Adam was going to either do 1 or bid somewhere low to avoid overbidding himself. He bid okay and all is right with the world.

Well, I should say that Adam M. should be nominated as one of the near best contestants we had this season. He is clearly the Contestant of the day with William geting an [adjective] Mention.

We have crossed paths again.

I feel bad for Elaine.  She played Bonkers almost as well as she could, paying no attention to the audience, trying to play the game as fast as she could... just too bad for her that she wasn't the fastest player.  Pretty fun and excited too, for what it's worth, even if she did get a bit flustered with the "spin or stay" decision.

Deborah was pretty.  Not sure why she bid so high on her showcase, though.  Did the Pontiac G6 look more expensive than I thought it did?  I mean, I can understand overbidding on a Dodge Caliber showcase maybe, but I'm just endlessly curious where the $32,000 bid came from.

...oh wait, I think I figured it out!  It was a giant Pontiac G6 offered today, as opposed to a human-sized one.  Probably would've bid close to a million on that, myself.

Pretty obvious the bonus was either going to be by the mop or the razor today.  One really easy prize, one really hard prize and two medium prizes.  No chance Roger would've ever put the bonus by either of those two, right?

You know Flip Flop is mindlessly simple when the whole audience wants the contestant to flip flop.  I mean, considering the audience usually ignores that option.

Speaking of William, I love the result of the bidding on the third item up for bids!  He bids $1420, putting way too much emphasis on the "420" part, and the actual retail price?  $1400!  If only he'd have given a normal bid instead of trying to be funny, he'd have gotten a $500 bonus and could've won a car!

Did anyone notice that Bob actually said, in Pocket Change, that he was giving the first number for free to "make it easier"?  Of course, we know that isn't true.  Wonder if Roger was chuckling to himself there
And good job there, Adam.  On the showcase, anyway.  Could've been very easy to overbid on that.

You know, as hyped up as Bob was getting over the last prize, I was worried he would forget that the game didn't hinge on whether or not Kimberly got that right or wrong.  Then I was happy to see Bob did remember it didn't.  And now, turns out he did.  Ah well.

It seems Adam you were heading for a win only to get denied by those bikes. Tough break there man.

Elaine did everything right in Bonkers. She just couldn't get the right price.

Boy what a great comeback after stumbling to get the second number. Molly deserved that car.

I either wanted you or Elaine to win the first showcase showdown. Great job on getting the $1,000.

I would get the 3rd SP wrong. When she got the 4th SP wrong I got concerned. But luckily Kimberly had the BONUS in the 2nd window in which she got right. I too got the 2nd SP right. We're both winners.

When Deborah passed to the cream I knew she would get it wrong and settle for 2 picks. But oh well she got $3K.

It was bound to get flip-flopped. Great that William won I just wished he wouldn't go over the top by going around the stage in that matter.

Well believe it or not I wanted William to win the second showcase showdown. Didn't happen however.

I had a good feeling that Deborah would go over. A great bid you had Adam. And a great hat that Rich was sporting. Now don't take this the wrong way but I actually covered my ears when you did the spay/neutered plug. I'm more obliged to hear Bob say that. But anyway a great win for you Adam.

Danger Price:  Congratulations Adam for getting up on stage; I'm happy you had a wonderful time!  Anyways, tough break with those bikes.

Bonkers:  At least Elaine didn't look to "Them" for help.  :-D

Pocket Change:  "Do you believe in miracles?  YES!"  Excellent comeback there!

Bonus Game:  Getting both the middle prizes right is crucial to win this game, and Kimberley did just that.  Nice win!

Pass the Buck:  Hey, $3000 ain't bad; it's better than not winnin' anything, right?

Flip-Flop:  Easy pickin's...

Showcases:  Somehow, Roger's been evil to us this week in terms of Showcases.  Anyways, congratulations on winning your Showcase Adam; you did Gator Nation proud!

One-Bid #1:  Holy cow!  It's Adam Marchese--the original host of "Net Press Your Luck"!  And for years, I thought his name was pronounced "mar-KAY-zee"...

PG #1:  Yay!  Danger Price and Big Banana Remix!  :-P  That was a bad break for Adam.  All four of those prized looked way too cheap to be $1,060.  I certainly didn't expect that recliner to be $1,799.

PG #2:  She actually thought that trip was less than $2,000?

PG #3:  Cheap cars and trucks in Pocket Change are usually disasters waiting to happen, but Molly pulled two big amounts of pocket change to offset those early mistakes.

SCSD #1:  WHOO!  Adam hits a dollar!  :-D

PG #4:  Forced win.  I can't think of any person that would've said a mop would be less than $7.

PG #5:  As I always say, $3,000 is better than a Focus.  :hammer:

PG #6:  Bob got the explanation right this time.  Also, William found an interesting way to kill time:  playing with the Flip Flop prop to test the audience reaction.

Showcase #1:

Showcase #2:  I also heard Rich say "Yea, I saw it".  I'd say we had a Janice moment with that GEM car.  :-P

My showcase bids:
Car--$21,629
Random room/GEM--$15,729
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Um... how does one take it the right way?  That's a little bizarre.  Kinda' like muting the TV and leaving the room for a while because they're playing Hit Me.  Even if you'd have preferred for Bob to give the line, what was so mute-worthy about Adam doing it instead?

Sometimes, it's better to just leave certain things unsaid.

Danger Price:  I thought Adam won with the bikes.  I never thought that price was $1060.

Bonkers:  I would have went HHLL.  At least Elaine didn't look at the audience thankfully.

PC: Evil Price!  Excellent DobStopping comeback by Molly.

Bonus Game: Great win by Kimberly despite blowing the last SP.

Flip Flop: Just like the title says.

SC2: Willy again.  That car is $19,670 at the most.

Bonkers: I can't believe Elaine thought the price was less than $2,000.  I was confident the first number was higher than 2 and the last number was lower than 7.  Therefore, I had only four possible choices to choose from.

Pocket Change: Great comeback after messing up the 2nd digit.  Also nice to see it won and for Molly to get a $2 slip.

Bonus Game: I tripped over the third prize but still would have won.  Too bad there was an edit in this game; I would have loved to see another Barker Senior Moment.

Flip Flop: I knew flip-flopping was the right choice.  Because of this, I thought Bob might accidentally mess up the rules.  Fortunately, he did not and the contestant won!

SC1: My Bid: $23,350 / ARP: $23,039 / OVER
SC2: My Bid: $14,630 / ARP: $15,630 / Diff: $1,000
