The TALK Is Right / Re: Pricing Game One-Offs

Side by Side or Freeze Frame for a car. Obviously for Freeze, you’d have to replace half the cards with three digits - as it rotates, you’d always have a five digit price is the frame.

Might be hard to create a not obvious setup, though.

That could be doable; for example, if the eight cards going around were 21, 235, 19, 229, 20, 257, 18, and 247, then the eight possible prices would be $21235, $24721, $18247, $25718, $20257, $22920, $19229, and $23519.  That would actually be pretty hard with those numbers--like 5 Price Tags but with 8 possibilities and only one choice.  It could be eased up with some more obviously wrong ones or a greater spread.

Well the video has drawn new information out of a prior staffer, Mandel -

Quote
Thanks for chatting about my game, "1/2 Off!"   Something not many people know.  In my original pitch for the game, it was for a car and you had to find the keys to the car in one of the boxes.   Also, understand the gripe not winning the $10k if you don't play perfectly...but as I had pitched it, you would've gotten $1,000 for every 1/2 off item you picked.  Before you opened the box, you had the opportunity to walk away with the cash you had earned or give it up in order to open up the box.  Barker didn't like it because it felt too much like a Monty Hall/Let's Make a Deal dilemma.    Can't believe as of next week, the game will be 20 years in rotation on the show!

The TALK Is Right / Re: The Price is Right (Drew) Channel on Pluto TV
« Last post by C8 on Yesterday at 05:56:55 PM »
Sorry to bump this, but with the news that more eps are being added to The Barker Era, has there been any more talk of getting new episodes of the Drew era?

I've had the Drew channel on more than the Bob channel recently and while its a rough patch ahead (ahem *Brad Sherwood announcing* ahem), I'm ready to get some new eps in the rotation. I'm not on any of the socials so I'm curious if anyone has said anything.
