Price is Right Recaps! / Re: TPiR Recap - 5/17/2024
« Last post by C8 on Today at 02:46:44 PM »
Kind of a meh show today. Great contestants, lots of troublesome set-ups.

Dice Game was exciting and I sometimes wonder if Drew watches the Barker era on Pluto because he's been setting Dicey's final reveal up like Bob used to recently.

I wouldn't have blown it at $2000 but everything looked like it was quasi-expensive in Bag today. Take Two just seemed like a total crapshoot to me as did the small prizes in FPT. Although Civic Sports are about as pricey as a Civic gets so that $27k price just screamed "PICK ME!"

Being a domestic trip sort of tipped off that the correct number in PaN was 7 though I would have had to think about it quite a bit because trips generally but up to 10k anymore.

The TALK Is Right / Re: Are they taping 'next year' now?

Yes. They're doing Price is Right now because Wayne Brady is currently busy and will be doing a big block of shows for Let's Make A Deal starting around July once he finishes this stint on Broadway.

Do Price and Deal use the same stage at Haven? I thought Haven had multiple stages but maybe I'm mistaken.

They were also under the threat of a technician strike (although that is looking far less likely now), so I would imagine they’re trying or were trying to get as many shows in the can as possible.
15
Because of a really nice season from a preemption standpoint, I can afford to start the playoffs on June 10, so I will do just that. That will leave three backup or scrimmage shows on the first week of July, plenty.

The last Cayman Islands I see was 2022, so that was annoying to see on a Friday. The Elantra HEV is (around) 27645 from vhs's win and it looks like that gym is around 2500, so I guess nearly 12k for Caymans. JJ was the high bidder here for best raw cash.

SC2 had a Trailblazer we still don't know the exact price of in 2024 I think,  then a random half-kitchen and half-backyard that was probably still a lot because most outdoor furniture is on the show. nam's -675 was kind to him again for a DSW win.

GRECO! / GRECO!6 Week 21: 5/20 to 5/24
« Last post by Wayoshi on Today at 12:17:09 PM »
This playing will presumably cover 0631-35L in production order, but there are no guarantees.

There are no spoiled games this week.

The PATTERN this season is on a regular rotation. The DIAMOND is the PATTERN for this playing.

Good luck!

GRECO! / Re: GRECO!6 Week 20 5/13 to 5/17
« Last post by Wayoshi on Today at 12:13:53 PM »
This ended up being a weird week where there were virtually no diagonal GRECOs because somehow Stack & Seat skipped, but scores were still pretty good because just about everything else showed, except Money. Also another 1.80 super spot added quite a few points to the proceedings. FJB edged me out but a lot of good scores here.

I am torn on whether to start the playoffs on Memorial Day or the week after that. I am leaning towards week after at this point.

This episode also features Bullseye's original $5-$10 target range as well. Also, based on Bob's explanation, it appears that the Hidden Bullseye rule has changed from the closest marker to the target to any marker on the target at this point.

Also, for the first two small prizes described in Give or Keep, you can hear a variant from the rarely used "Robert" cue.
